Jungkook's eyes wandered to me, the disappointment had completely disappeared from his face, giving way to astonishment.

He looked at the giggling baby in amazement, knowing immediately that a paternity test would be a waste of money. This was indeed his child, you could literally see the realization flash across his face.

He smiled tentatively at the little one, lifted his hand and stroked his soft cheek reverently.

On a sudden impulse, I placed Chiwon in his arms without being asked, so that the two of them could get to know each other without being shy. Jungkook smiled gratefully at me and held his child for the first time. He carefully walked with him to the sofa and sat down. He held the baby close to his body, but always made sure that he was still getting enough air.

I sat down next to him and watched with a smile as Jungkook did the same thing that I did unconsciously all the time. He smelled his head and smiled like he was in a daze. The parental instinct had probably hit him just like it had me.

"I have absolutely no idea what to say right now... except that he is absolutely the cutest thing in the world. I'm totally overwhelmed right now." You could see his eyes shining suspiciously as he spoke.

"You don't need to say anything now, we can always talk later. Just concentrate on your son." I leaned back and just watched the two of them marveling at each other, laughing together or Jungkook caressing him again and again and giving him the odd kiss on the forehead or on his little hands. But then Chiwon's hunger became too great and he started to cry.

Jungkook's eyes became worried and he looked at me, overwhelmed.

"Have I done something wrong?" he asked uncertainly.

"No, he's just hungry," I reassured him and took the baby from him to put him on my chest. As I pulled up my shirt and opened the front of the stillbh, Jungkook's eyes widened, but before he even had a chance to see my bare chest, Chiwon had already grabbed it and started to drink greedily.

"He knows what's good." he said with a proud grin and I raised an eyebrow.

Neither of us said anything for a few minutes before he asked the question I was kind of expecting.

"Why didn't you tell me?" he sounded sad.

"And how was I supposed to do that? You never contacted me again, you didn't even leave me your number. I even had a nice chat with your manager, who laughed at me... I didn't even have the chance to say anything to you." I tried to speak quietly so that I didn't upset the little one and stop him from drinking.

He looked crestfallen after my words and nodded understandingly.

"I'm sorry... this is all my fault. But how did this even happen, we had a condom..." he scratched his head in confusion.

"Jungkook... well, I don't know who told you, but it's not enough to just put the rubber on the bed... You also have to put it on..." I explained to him with my eyebrows drawn together and he looked at me in horror.

"Oh man, I actually forgot in the heat of the moment. I'm such a dork... I'm so sorry." He cupped his hands over his face and shook his head.

"Don't curse yourself too much, I'm glad I have the little one and I'm not mad about the condom at all.... But the fact that I couldn't contact you because you just snuck away, I haven't forgiven you for that yet."

Chiwon fell asleep after his burp and I put him back in his crib. Jungkook stroked his head again and then took a picture of the sleeping baby with his cell phone.

"Too bad I forgot to take some when he was awake..." he remarked sadly.

"If you finally give me your number, I can send you some. My cell phone is full of his pictures," I replied dryly.

He took my cell phone from me, saved his number and sent himself a message so that he had my number too.

Then he took my hands in his and looked at me seriously.

"Listen... I want to be there for you. I want to be a part of Chiwon's life and be a good father to him. I'm just completely overwhelmed by the situation at the moment and my guilty conscience is also getting to me. I need a little time to get used to it. Don't think I'm running away now, but I'm going to visit my parents for a few days. I need to think about everything in peace and I need to talk to them too." He gave me a look of disappointment, but I just smiled.

"I believe you. Go there, I understand you. As long as you come back, everything is fine. But I'm warning you. If you pull another stunt like that, where you're no longer available and break off contact, then that's it. I will not tolerate any back and forth in my son's life. You're either all in or all out. We're not toys that you take out of the cupboard every now and then," I replied and he nodded understandingly.

"Just a few days, after that you won't be able to get rid of me," he promised me and kissed me goodbye on the cheek before he left.

The next day, someone was already standing in front of the store door when I opened it. It was Jin, who entered with a cheerful expression on his face and several tupperware tins in his arms, looked around searchingly and finally brought the tins into my kitchen. I watched him in confusion.

"Well, we had a long talk with Kookie yesterday and as long as he's not here, we'll stand in for him to help you with the little one. And today is your lucky day because I'm here," he said so confidently that I had to stifle a laugh.

"That's nice of you, but do you know anything about babies?" I asked skeptically, but he waved me off.

"Of course, and whoever can't, cooks for you instead, or goes shopping or cleans... All things like that. The main thing is that you're no longer alone." He tousled my hair and then asked in a good mood.

"Well, where's the little cutie now? I have to see the bunny live."
