Chapter : 11

Beginne am Anfang

Feeling a bit frustrated, I urged him to go and do his job. 'Aren't you supposed to be going to the palace? You don't need to accompany me,' I said while gazing out the window.

As the carriage moved along the busy streets, I pointed out a boutique that I needed to stop at. 'Drop me off at that boutique,' I said, hoping he would understand my need to go alone.

However, his frustration was evident as he barked, 'Stop the carriage!' I couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy at his sudden shift in demeanor.

'what annoyed you now.' looking at him, in disbelief I thought.

"Come pick me up at sunset, okay?" I asked as I step down from the carriage.
"I'll send someone," he replied.

'gosh, I can't with him anymore; you are the one who wanted to ride together, unbelievable.'

As I stepped out of the carriage, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I quickly made my way inside the shop, trying to avoid drawing any attention to myself. Once inside, I found a quiet corner to wait and watch as I hoped to see him leave. Time seemed to drag on as I nervously checked my watch, after some time, the carriage was nowhere to be seen.

The shopkeeper was talking non-stop about the designs of the clothes, insisting that they would look good on me. I pointed at some of the clothes and said, "Pack up these while I visit the others. I'll pick them up later. Just make sure they are ready before sunset." This made him stop talking.

"How lovely! Don't worry, ma'am, we are skilled with our hands," he said with a twinkle in his eye.

'I had bought ten dresses in a minute. If I had this much money (her first life), I wouldn't have to struggle so much.'

With a smile, he said, "Have a wonderful day, madam."As I saw the expression on his face, I realized that I needed to hurry.

Inside the guild---

As I entered the reception, the boy greeted me with a smile and said, "This way, valued customer."

'what's with the valued customer?'

As I entered the room, I was greeted by the familiar aroma of tea. The man standing before me was unchanged in appearance, but there was something different about him. It was his smile - a warm and genuine expression that transformed his face into something almost unrecognizable.

"This tea is simply divine. I must admit, you were right about it being delicious and refreshing," he said, with a cunning smile.

As I observed the situation, I found it quite intriguing to see the extent of effort this man was putting in. Despite the others attempting to please him, Renard appeared to be quite impatient. This behavior was quite challenging to comprehend considering his reputation for being a calm and collected individual.

The man who possesses the knowledge of the nobles' secret is revealing his clear intention.

I smirked as I asked, "What happened to you? You seem quite flustered today."
"Even if I don't tell you, you already know. So, what do I need to give in return for the potion?" he asked.
"Can you give me a paper and a pen, please?" I requested.

I had diligently noted down the names of all the herbs that were needed and also the detailed process technique that would be required to complete the task. "Here, everything is written on this," I said as I offered him the paper.

"Most of the materials required would be easy to find, but there could be a few that might pose a challenge. The process would take a month to complete, and it is essential that you do not push yourself hard while carrying out the task. Doing so could lead to undesired consequences. It is best to trust the process and be patient in waiting for the results. Do you have any other questions?" I asked as I comfortably crossed my legs and took a sip of my tea.

He looked at me; it was clear that many questions were rising in his heart, yet he didn't ask any. But he kept his eyes on me, reading every action I took.

"As for the payment," looking at the teacup, I said, "I would like you to look for this guy." I handed him a picture of a young boy.

""I can do more," he said. I looked at him intently, waiting for him to continue. "If you want. The thing is, you just give me more than this," he added. He hesitated for a moment before asking, "Don't you have anything else you want to know?"

"No," I replied firmly, cutting off his offer. Nothing in this world comes for free.Kindness is the rarest commodity, and I was not about to take advantage of his generosity.

"Well then," putting down the cup, "hope to hear from you soon," saying that I bid farewell.

As I was in a hurry to reach the boutique, I decided to take the shortest route. It was a narrow road, and I could feel the pressure of time ticking away. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a large man appeared in front of me. He had covered his face, and all I could see was his eyes and a scar on his right eye. The gray eyes had an intense bloodlust, and I knew I was in trouble. Before I could even react, he put his large hand on my mouth and squeezed it tight. I tried to scream for help, but my voice was muffled. I struggled to free myself, but it was of no use. That's when I heard a strong gust of wind, and something hit the man with force, throwing him away from me.

I found it difficult to breathe and struggled to steady myself. Suddenly, a hand appeared in my view and I recognized the voice of someone familiar. "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" he asked with concern. I looked up to see him looking at me with red eyes, clearly worried. He helped me up and I tried to gather my thoughts.
