"That is why I am requesting an increase in the number of production lines. Our production capabilities are still very limited. There will also be human resource limitations to man those ships. That's why I'm prioritizing research on unmanned ships." Trevat said.

They were still talking about various things about Trantor. But the conversation caused Trevat to feel even more insecure, because the number of warships they had still felt was insufficient to guarantee the security of all the people of the Myto Empire.

Planet Trantor, City of New York
Research Facility E35T2, a magic research facility

Moff Trevat and Governor Noona visited a magic research facility outside New York City. Trevat wanted to see for himself how research on magic was progressing. This is so that Trevat can expect the Myto Empire's starships to have greater capabilities as a result of the addition of readily available technology. Dr. Zirach, the director of Research Facility E35T2, met them.

"Is there any progress on the magic research here?" asked Trevat after they had talked for a while.

"We just created a device to capture zero-point energy using magic. It requires molecular-level synthesis and considerable energy to make. We just found out that there is a magic program in the original magic stone to change matter at the quantum level so that it changes an object or substance into another object or substance." Dr. Zirach said

"Ooh, you made it? How are the test results? How big is the object? How much is the power output?" asked Trevat excitedly.

"We only made 3 examples, and that was the smallest, portable one. It is a cylinder measuring 25 cm in length and 8 cm in diameter. But the energy that can be released from it is equal to the energy of the main reactor of a Corellian Corvette CR-90. We haven't found a limit to how long such a large output can be released. We tested for 3 days, and there was no drop in output power." Dr. Zirach said.

"Well, that means it could theoretically power a CR-90 class starship, huh?" asked Trevat.

"That's right, Moff." Dr. Zirach replied.

"Then were you able to find out how it works?" asked Trevat.

"Unfortunately, we don't know yet. We are in the process of dismantling one of the zero-point modules." Dr. Zirach said

"How long do you estimate it will take to research it?" asked Trevat.

"Unknown, Moff. It will take us at least a year, but it could take more than 10 years. The technology is too advanced for us and too alien." Dr. Zirach replied.

"So, is there any possibility of mass-producing the module?" asked Trevat.

"We can produce it, but it requires a lot of energy, or we can input materials that are compatible with the materials that make up the module. Also, we don't know how many can be made at once on a planet. We have several planets, and they can be made into facilities to produce the modules." Dr. Zirach replied.

"Good, immediately create a production facility for the module, can we call it a zero-point module, or ZPM?" Trevat ordered.

"Yes, Moff." Governor Noona replied.

"Besides that kind of module, are there any larger modules that can be made?" asked Trevat.

"We only found 3 types, the smallest and most portable is the one we built. Then the second and third ones need infrastructure to run them, we don't know what it needs because we haven't built it yet. But the other two modules are quite big, the biggest one is the size of a barrel, 100 cm long with a diameter of 50 cm. We don't know what the output of those modules is." Dr. Zirach said.
