CHAPTER THIRTY ONE
❝PLANT SHOPPING.❞

— HARMONY —

I RING Jude's doorbell as I stand outside. It's a lovely sunny Wednesday afternoon. His mum has invited me over so we can finally go plant shopping together as I had suggested when we had dinner.

The door opens and I'm expecting to see Denise but instead I see Jude and my eyes widen in shock. He also is very surprised to see me.

"Harmony? What are you doing here?" He squints because of the hot sun.

"Your mum invited me over so we can go plant shopping today." I explain.

"What are you doing here?" I ask curiously.

"This is my house?" He looks at me confused.

I gasp pretending to be shocked. "No! You don't say!" I respond sarcastically.

"I mean, why are you home. I thought you had training today?" I clarify.

"Stalking my schedule. You sure you're not obsessed?" He smirks leaning forward a little.

"Just answer the question." I roll my eyes.

"Cancelled. We get a day off." He says simply.

"Okay." I shrug.

"After you." He grins stepping aside to let me walk in. I cover a smile as I walk in walking past him.

Denise enters the hallway just as I do.

"Harmony! Hi my lovely." She greets me as warmly as ever, bringing me into a hug.

"Hi Mrs Bellingham." I smile politely.

"I told you to call me Denise." She laughs placing a gentle hand on my shoulder.

I nod with a smile.

"You ready to go?" I ask

"Yes! And I'm excited! This place can do with a little sprucing up." She looks around.

"We're going to find some amazing plants to put in here." I smile widely. The suns out, it's hot and I get to spend the entire day looking at plants with Denise who's such good company. What else could I ask for?

"Jude, are you coming?" Denise asks her son.

"Nah, I'm good." He shakes his head

"Why not! It'll be fun." I say looking at him.

He scoffs shaking his head again.

"No it won't. I'll have much more fun chilling here playing fifa."

"You do that everyday!" I whine

"Yeah. And I love it." He playfully taps my nose.

"Please." I pout with puppy dog eyes as I look up at him.
