About damn time we got out of that....

Taiju thinks to himself as he drives the car out of the curb to finally leave.

He keeps his eyes on the road, passing each green light so he can get back to his place.

Its about to be 10 pm so the street is pretty calm and he calculates that they'll reach his place in about 15 minutes or so.

He's not sleepy, but he's sure as hell tired after what just happened.

He still can't believe that it happened right in front of his shop.

Of all places too.

But that's not what's on his mind..

He can't help but wonder how you're doing.

He looks over and sees that you just have your head resting on the seatbelt as you look out the window.

The car lights not really phasing you.

He's glad.

But you're probably still processing everything.

So its only a matter of time until your PTSD kicks in.

And that's IF you get it.

Only time will tell if you do or don't.

But still...

Why her?

She didn't fucking deserve to go through all this shit...

Taiju internally sighs as he keeps driving until he approaches a red light.

Slowing down the car as he waits for the light to turn green.

And he sees from the corner of his eye that you have changed positions.

As well as you fidgeting with your thumbs.

He waits a bit to see if you're going to say something.

But nothing.

You stay quiet and he is about to just leave it like that.

But your fidgeting started to annoy him.

So he decides to speaks up before he ends up getting mad.

Taiju- "What is it?"

He tries not to sound annoyed because he doesn't want you to get the wrong idea.

Luckily you didn't.

But he still wonders what you're thinking about.

Your eyes don't look sad to him but they definitely look tired.

And he thinks that you're ready to talk about what happened back at the restaurant.

He's not good at comforting people but he knows how emotionally vulnerable you must feel.
