"Look, they are accelarating. Our ships' activities to ascend to Yellow Alert seem to have been noticed by them, and they have begun to accelerate their speed towards us. This is definitely not a natural phenomenon, but the ghost sensors must be artificial." The sensor officer said.

The 2 automated fighter drones that had been launched from 'Macross' quickly approached the position of the ghost sensor detected by 'Macross'. Within a few minutes, they had reached a distance of 200,000 kilometers. The two automated fighter drones were separated by 50,000 kilometers, one behind the other.

"Admiral, Captain, we've got visuals from the ghost's sensors taken by the automated fighter drone." The star fighter operations officer said.

"Patch to the main viewer." Admiral Dana ordered.

The main viewer changed from an image of the view to the front of the 'Macross' to a group of objects that were inky black, barely visible against the background of space. It consisted of twelve rather small objects, and two large ones.

"What is that?" said Captain Haiganti.

"What size are they?" asked Admiral Dana.

"The small objects are about 300 meters long, and the large objects are about 800 meters long, admiral." Said the sensor officer.

"Transmit the first contact package." Admiral Dana said

"Yes, sir." The sensor officer said.

'Macross' immediately transmitted a signal using both radio, tachyon, and hyperspace communication containing the first contact information. The first contact package will be transmitted repeatedly so that the contacted party knows the limit of each package. But before the first contact packet was repeated more than twice, suddenly all the sensors could detect an increase in energy, even though it was very faint on the objects.

"Sir, we can now detect the presence of energy from these objects, although it is very weak. There is an increase in the amount of energy at a significant rate!" said the sensor officer.

"Go to red alert. All ships form the defense formation Zeta 2. Launch all available fighters." Admiral Dana said.

"Turn our ship's course and instruct the other ships in the direction of the objects. Reduce our profile." Captain Haiganti ordered. "Activate all weapon systems."

Suddenly, the automated fighter droid in the rear showed one of the objects shooting a dark purple beam, very hard to see in the darkness of space, towards the automated fighter droid in the front. Although the automated fighter droid had a shield, the shield did not hold at all. The Automated Fighter Droid exploded, and even the dark purple light seemed to penetrate the automated fighter droid.

Everyone on the main bridge of 'Macross' was shocked to see that.

"Are they already in range of our weapons?" asked Admiral Dana.

"Only superlasers, hyperlasers, and missiles can reach them, admiral." The weapon officer said

"Fire warning shot across their bow with a superlaser, minimum power." Admiral Dana said

A superlaser pod on the left dorsal immediately moved towards the unidentified objects. A few seconds later, a red beam of light lasting almost 2 seconds was fired from the pod. The superlaser bolt passed 100,000 kilometers in front of the foremost alien object.

Moments after that, all the alien objects rapidly increased their speed. They tried to approach the 'Macross' and its escort ships as quickly as possible in order to fire their weapons.
