"No, not yet at least," he says, and his hand slides down my cheek to my neck. I can feel him analyzing me. He turns my head to the side, and when I feel him lower his head to my neck, I let my fingernails dig into my skin from how close he is.
He sniffs my hair, and for the first time, I hope that Yoongi's idea is helpful. I have to smell like the prison. However, when he pulls away, he doesn't mention the prison at all.
"Little Vee here has her sister's perfume on her." Then I hear his shoes move on the road to where I believe he's standing over me.
"Are we going to leave her here? If this is some setup?" I hear Ghost laugh from the other man in the van.
"No, she's coming with us. If there's anything I remember about this one, she always acted better than us, better than our little, fake family. Always saying how she wouldn't join, how her daddy was the only one she cared about. Now look at her, she's been rotting with the rest of them." He admits.
"I don't know how they got her out, but she's weakened over the several weeks I last saw her. She's probably fainting from lack of nutrition or whatever else that prison did to her. Well, either way, she's here now so open the van." He says, and soon I feel him scoop me up. He lays me on the floor of the van, slams the sliding door, and then takes his seat on the passenger side.
"What if she tries anything? What if—"
"She won't; look at her. Do you think she honestly has a clue what's going on? Acid got her out because she's her sister; she wanted to protect her before the bombs started at the prison. Now we're wasting time. We need to get the supplies before the cops have this road blocked off."
Bombs? What bombs? They never told me about any bombs. Does Yoongi know about it or did he just not tell me because it would distract me?
As much as I'm concerned about the prison and those I care about, I force the thought away. I only have one chance to get Ghost. One chance to get him locked up for good. When I can, I'll radio Hoseok and see if he knows about it.
For now, I'll lay here for a few more minutes and come to, I'll act dumb, and do my plan while Acid and Yoongi do theirs by trying to save Jungkook from his execution. In the meantime, I'll lay here, listening to their every word.

I weakly sit up, holding my head and moaning with pain. I feel eyes on me, but before I open mine, I can already hear Ghost's voice from the front.
"How are you doing, Vee? You hit your head pretty hard back there. Do you remember?" He asks, but I gently shake my head, keeping my eyes closed while I take a minute before speaking.
I'm not sure what exactly to say. I can't mention Acid first, or else he'll know I was listening.
"I was walking on the road. I had no clue where I was," I begin slowly, carefully opening my eyes when I see Ghost turned around staring at me when I speak. "Then a vehicle pulled up, and you were in it," I admit, gently moving forward toward him at the front of the van.
I bypass the other men who were sitting beside me. I ignored the guns hidden at their sides, the evil stares, and the fear I had deep within me; I ignored it all.
"What happened to you? I thought they arrested you. I saw it on the news before they came for us," I say, telling part of the truth when I come next to him so that he can see I'm not scared of him.
If he senses the slightest bit of fear, he'll know. I need to act as I did at the warehouse. I need to act as calm as I can, but I also need to remember that I'm in pain and my adrenaline is supposed to be high from breaking out of prison.
"I got away. It was so awful, Vee. I had to kill a cop to get away, but I eventually did. I found these guys, and they helped me," he gestures behind me.
I look back and notice how their evil faces turn quickly to warm ones. This is dangerous.
"Sometimes cops are in the wrong," I say, holding my side. "I got beat before I escaped. My ribs are killing me."
He lowers his gaze to my side and then back to my eyes. "How did you escape? Did no one else? You're the only one we've seen." He asks, and I know I have to be careful with my response.
"I'm confused about that part," I start slowly, easing my words out with fear of what his reaction might be. "A female guard lead me to the showers alone, and then Acid was there. I don't know how she was there or what happened, but she got me out. She apologized for everything she did, but I didn't trust her, of course. I was ready to be shot as soon as I took one step out of the prison, but I wasn't."
He already knows Acid was around me, so there's no use in lying to him at this point. If I can make it sound believable, he'll buy it.
"She told me to get to Canada. She said the police wouldn't find me there, but then she drove off somewhere in a van. I don't even know what direction, or how far, Canada even is from here." I add.
They all laugh at that, which eases a tad of my nerves. "Well, considering you were going South, you were a little lost. Don't worry though. I've been hiding there, too. It's where most of everyone ran who wasn't caught." Ghost mentions, and we drop the topic.
I have no idea if what I said was a smart move or not, but I had nothing else to go off of. He knew, and if I said I escaped by myself, he would know I was lying. If he did smell her perfume, then he would know there's none of that in the prison. It would be a dead giveaway.
"Where are you going?" I ask, straightening up to look out of the front window while still holding onto my side.
"We're headed to get some supplies. Food, water, things like that." He left out the part about weapons. "Why don't you lay back and get some rest? I'm sure you need it after being in that prison. I'll wake you when we get there." He says, and I agree.
Before I turn away, I lean closer to him. I place my hand on his arm, gripping it with a tad of force, which makes him look me in the eye. "I'm glad you got away, Ghost. So many people were suffering," I let my eyes water a tad.
"Hey, I'm just glad we found you. Saving one is better than none, and I'm glad it was a dear friend like you," he leans closer and kisses my forehead, which I can't back away from. I have to endure it, and when he moves away, I feel much better after noticing the large space between us. "Now, get some rest, Vee," he says with a smile, which I return with a soft one.
I slowly move to an empty spot, grabbing my side while leaning down. I shut my eyes, holding my side the whole time.
As I feel the van hit holes in the road, I can only hope that Acid and Yoongi aren't coming across any issues on their end.
