I was considering what I should wear to work today. What I like best about my profession is that there is no uniform. We are free to wear whatever we choose as long as it is not too revealing. But I'm only just getting started, but I'm already worn out. Ang hirap din pala na walang uniform na sinusunod. Tapos sabayan pa na being a regular, my workload has increased dramatically. Nice, right?

"Yes! Nakaka stress!" Reklamo ko kay Yas over the phone. "Hindi ko naman trabaho pero sa'kin pinapagawa."

"Babe, you are a new employee. Baka sinusubukan ka lang."

I sighed. "Nung una naman hindi gano'n si Miss Maeve. I started to like her as my boss. Chill lang, walang pressure." Nang makapili na ako ay nagsimula na akong magbihis. "Pero ngayon? She likes me as well, but it's a different type of liking. She likes to boss me around."

Akala ko sa pa-welcome lang talaga sa'kin ni Miss Maeve yung pagu-utos niya nung nakaraang araw, pero inaraw-araw niya na. She likes to call my name and go to her office. Tuloy after work, sobrang pagod na ko, wala na kong energy na bisitahin si Misha. Minsan naman napupuntahan ko siya sa work niya pero lagi naman siyang wala. Kung minsan pa ay busy siya. Hindi nagkakatagpo ang schedule namin.

"Ayaw mo no'n babe? The feeling is mutual. Like niyo isa't -isa." Natatawa niyang saad.

Like my ass. Kulang na lang magpapalit na ako ng pangalan.

I rolled my eyes even though she couldn't see me. "Ngayon lang ata ako hindi natuwa sa mutual feelings na 'yan."

"I bet you're rolling your eyes right now." Well, she really knows me. "Good luck sa work mo, babe. Let's go for a night out again next time para makapag relax ka naman."

"Thanks for listening, babe. Good luck din sayo, share chika next time tungkol diyan sa oh so straight mong bebe."

"Manahimik. Sige na bye! Love ya!"

I began preparing for work after our phone conversation. I wore silver star dangle earrings and applied minimal makeup. I put on some perfume to complete it. I checked my clothes again, knowing that I was going to run around the building and probably damage them later.

As I walked down the stairs, nakasalubong ko si kuya Achilles na nagre-ready na rin for work. He stopped what he was doing when he noticed my presence.

"Tara, kumain na muna tayo." Pag-aaya niya. Lumapit siya sa'kin to get my handbag. "I'm not taking no this time. Sasabayan mo ko."

"Fine. Masyado mo ata akong na-miss."

He smirked before he started walking on the way to the dining room. "Itigil mo 'yan, baka mawalan ako ng gana sa pagkain."

I was about to hit him but he suddenly ran away from me. Wala na kong nagawa kung hindi panoorin na lang siya tumakbo papuntang kusina. I miss him though. We barely see each other because we are both busy. Nagulat ako nang pagpasok ko ng dining room ay nandoon din ang parents namin. They are already seated, my father at the head of the table, my mother on his right side, and my brother on the other side.

"Good morning, Bella. Take a seat." Tinuro niya ang upuan katabi ni kuya. "Kumain na tayo at baka ma-late kayo."

I nodded. "Yes father."

Naupo na ako sa tabi ni Kuya Achilles, agad naman ako nilagyan ni kuya ng ulam sa plato. One of our maids also came to serve us some orange juice.

"So, how's your work, Bella?" My father asked.

"Ayos naman po. I'm enjoying at work." Kahit na parang ginagawa akong errand boy ng boss ko.

He nodded with satisfaction. "That's great. Ayan ang importante, ang nage-enjoy ka sa work mo."
