Tamad na naglalakad ako palabas ng school. Wala naman kami masyadong ginawa, puro lessons lang kami ngayon dahil katatapos lang namin sa practical.

But I'm still worn out. I'm not sure if it's the heat or just that I haven't slept enough. K is to blame for this. K and Misha are ones that are still beyond my comprehension. Imagine, all this time I was only a few steps away from K.

"Akala ko may zombie apocalypse na." Napalingon ako sa gilid ko. It's Yas. "Hanggang saan aabot ang eye bags mo?" Pagbibiro niya.

I giggled and rolled my eyes. "Let my eye bags alone. I put in a lot of effort to achieve it."

"It doesn't hurt to have a complete sleep, babe." Inakbayan ako nito. "Tabihan kaya kita matulog? Para humimbing tulog mo." She wiggled her eyebrows up and down.

"Mahimbing ang tulog ko, nagkukulang lang talaga." Marahan na siniko ko ito sa tagiliran na kinadaing niya. "Arte mo ah. You simply received a light strike from me."

"When it comes from my best friend, I don't take anything lightly." She gave me a cheeky smile. "Tara na nga at mag Li cafe. Libre mo ko ah."

Nailing na lang ako sa kaniya at nagpatianod papuntang Li cafe. Just by thinking of Li's cafe, my feet abruptly stopped from their track. K was there or I should say Misha. Wait, what should I call her now? So I prefer K.

"Earth to Chloe!" I blinked a few times before looking at her. "Ano? Tatayo na lang ba tayo dito? Napano ka?"

"Ah, nothing. I just remember something. That's all." Inalis ko ang pagkaka akbay niya at hinatak ito sa kamay. "Tara na nga."

"Ano na naman 'yang naalala mo? Crush mo?"

"No!" Agad kong pagtanggi. "Masyado kang ma issue. May naisip lang."

Sinilip nito ang mukha ko, "weh ba?"

I stayed silent and didn't bother answering her, but Yas being Yas, of course, she would not stop bugging me about it. Mula sa campus hanggang sa makarating kami ng Li cafe ay hindi ako tinantanan ni Yas. She keeps on asking kung ano ung naalala ko kanina. 

Natigil lang siya nang makita namin na punuan sa loob at marami rin nakapila. The crowd makes it difficult to focus, even if we do find a table. What's with today? Abot labas na ang pila.

"Bakit kaya maraming tao?" Takang tanong ni Yas habang tinatanaw ang loob. We're standing on the other side of the road. "It's unusual."

In the midst of the crowd, I find myself looking for K. Pero sobrang dami ng tao kaya hindi ko makita ang mga employee sa loob. I'm wondering if she is on shift today. She might be working the night. Or perhaps it's her day off? Upon having a concept, my eyes grew wider. What if something bad happens?

"Chloe?" I looked at Yas who was already in front of me. She smoothed out the furrow in my forehead with her thumb and forefinger. "Bakit naka kunot 'yang noo mo? Alam mo ayos lang 'yan, sa ibang araw na lang tayo pumunta dito."

I shook my head and hit my cheeks three times. Kung ano ano naiisip ko.

"Grabe epekto ng puyat sayo." Naiiling na saad ni Yas. "Lutang na nga tapos nawawala ka pa sa sarili."

"Ewan ko sayo. Come on let's go home. Doon na lang tayo sa bahay." Nauna na kong naglakad pabalik sa school para balikan ang kotse ko.

Mabilis na sumunod naman sa'kin si Yas. "What if ito na ung sign na binibigay sa'tin ng universe na mag overnight?"

I looked at her, "then let's grab it. Its been too long since you slept at my house."

"Okay! Let's buy some snacks and beer on the way!"
