"He's got power, and he's dangerous here. Ghost will be coming to talk with me later, so you can't stay here long. He told us to grab Barbie, not you, so he has no idea that you're here. I'll tell him Barbie's whereabouts were wrong, and we had to leave. The friendly should be back later on, and he'll be in Yoongi's cabin. He's a good guy; you can trust him." She explains, but all I can think about is how Barbie's brother is a cop.
Surely, Ghost doesn't want to hurt her because she has a family member who's a police officer, right? I don't want to believe it, but given everything I've been told, it's better to be on the safer side and believe it for now.
"She's pregnant. There's no reason to involve her—"
"That's exactly why he wants her so badly. He's been trying to get her for weeks now. Told us... it would be more publicity if a pregnant woman was found murdered." Acid's words pierce through me, leaving imprints of cuts on my very soul.
"That's sick... I'm... I'm not going to let that happen. He's not going to get her. I have to go back to the city. I have to make sure she's safe—" I rush to the cabin door, opening the wooden door to the chilly outside.
"Vee, there's nothing you can do. We can only hope he doesn't find her, but you have to stay," she comes up and shuts the door before I can take a step outside into the snow.
"I promised Jimin! If anything happens to her, it'll be my fault, and I would never forgive myself and neither would Jimin. I promised to look after her no matter what." Before I can attempt to leave the cabin again, Acid places her hands on my cheeks, stilling my movements.
"Vee, Barbie has a family to protect her. Her brother is a police officer, and if they have her, then they'll be hiding her from the police regardless. She'll be safe. He won't get to her—"
Before she can finish her sentence, the cabin door starts opening, and without a second thought, she rushes around in front of me, blocking me from the person who comes into the cabin. She shields me from the stranger, arms opened wide to block any damage that might come to me.
"Help him," are the first words we hear when the stranger fully comes in from the heavy snow that starts to fall. We see Yoongi walk inside, holding up the person next to him. "Draw him a warm bath now!" Yoongi instructs while Acid nods and rushes upstairs where Yoongi starts following after her. Yoongi helps the guy upstairs.
I turn around and shut the door and lock it. No one has to tell me to do it, but I go around and pull the curtains over the windows and add more wood to the fireplace.
Screaming comes from upstairs. I stop what I'm doing, looking up at the ceiling where I hear a strained voice yelling no repeatedly.
After putting more firewood into the blazing waves before me, I stand to my feet and make my way upstairs. I hear the screams grow louder and louder as I step closer to the closed door.
I see light underneath the door and shadows that illuminate the wooden floor before me. Hesitantly, I open the door, wanting to help in any way that I could.
When I do, I see Yoongi holding him down in the tub. He's still clothed, but when I notice his outfit, my eyes widen. The outfit is the prison suit.
I walk around Acid to see who's in the tub, to see who they are trying so hard to help, and when I meet the eyes of the man in the tub, I sigh out a breath of relief when I notice it's Taehyung.
