It was about 9:30. I am excited. I know Sarah is gonna look amazing. I ended up wearing a black suit. I'll definitely leave my jacket in the car but since we are in New York, and it's December, it's freezing. I grab my puffer and Sarah's.

We both looked good, but I knew Sarah would look out of my league, without effort.
"So what do you think of Lauren? I ask Kev as I fiddle with the collar of my button up.
"She's beautiful, I like her so far. But, I don't know."
"You should try and get to know her. From what I know, she's got a good sense of humor and is very driven." Of course this all came from Sarah's mouth.
"I like driven. I'm going to try and dance with her tonight."
"I think you should." I throw on my layers of jackets.
Kev looks up, "Oh yeah, did you make it clear about the rules tonight to the girls?"
"Kinda, I mentioned them to Sarah but I don't know how well she was listening."
"Dax. These rules are important. If the guys from Cerkskin show up at the party, and they see that the girls are with us, they will mess with them." Kevin has brought girls to parties before and been messed by rival teams that we run into. Things can get crazy, especially when alcohols involved.
"I'll talk to Sarah and Lauren before we go in. I promise." I pat Kevin on the back, "Okay give Sarah this letter and i'll go to the rooftop." I hand him the purple letter and head upstairs. My plan was to have her open that and then come to the terrace where I would be and I would ask her to officially be my girlfriend. Because it was nighttime, the rooftop was decorated with dozens of warm fairy lights. There were flowers everywhere and patio furniture.

The night sky was lit up with building lights. It was beautiful, but cold. I had brought Sarah's jacket with me and left it on the door handle to the roof. I figured she'd see it and put it on before she opened the door. I was nervous, more nervous than ever. I've never done anything like this before. I wanted this to be perfect.
