You screamed and whined as you tried to escape your mama. Natasha sighed and caught you before your feet could touch the ground and sat you back down in your chair at the dinner table. "Y/n, you know the rules."

"Your rules are lame!" You screamed at her. Natasha was trying not to let it get to her, but this had been going on for a quarter of an hour. She was starting to have enough.

"Hey! Don't aggravate your case young lady. Now... you're going to eat some of this and then I'll let you leave the table." She frustrated yelled at you.

You stopped everything and looked up at her. She watched as eyes filled with tears and your lips began. She knew she messed up.

She decided not to say anything and filled your fork with some of every vegetable your mom served you but you didn't eat. It only made you cry harder.

She drew the fork closer, making you stuff your head into her side. Natasha ran her hand up and down your back, feeling slightly bad but she wasn't going to back down.

"Mamaaaa." You cried pitifully.

You could hear your older cousins laugh at your predicament. And sure enough, when you lifted your head, here they all were. Hiding behind a door, popping their heads from time to time.

"It's not fair!" You continued getting more and more worked up by the minute. You were hiccuping and Natasha had to press your glass of water against your lips so you'd take a sip and hopefully calm down a bit.

"Not fair?! Darling, they finished their plates." Natasha tried to reason but it was hard. You kicked your legs in irritation, one of those accidentally landed in Natasha's shin, and though it didn't hurt her too bad, she taught you better than behaving like this. "No kicking mommy!"

This made your cousins laugh harder, making you cry harder. "STOP LAUGHING!"

Surprisingly, Natasha didn't tell you off for screaming. To be honest, they kind of deserved it.

She wrapped her arms around you and pulled you into her for a tight hug.

"Guys come on, don't be mean! Now shoo, go away. And if I see or hear you again, I'll make you sit here with us and wait until Y/n finish her plate before you can go back to playing." She threatened. They all audibly gulped and ran away upstairs.

Once they were out of sight, she focused her attention back to you in her arms. She moved some of your hair away from your face and placed a long, gently kiss on your forehead. "I'm sorry sweetheart."

"No! Meanie." You wailed. You were trying to push her away, but Natasha was obviously stronger. Your effort proved to be useless when you felt her force your head out of her side.

"I'm not being this to be a meanie Y/n. Now, come on, open up for me." Obviously you didn't. "Auntie Wanda made this yummy for for us, don't you want to try it?!"

"Yucky!"

"Here comes the quinjet..." It was a simple trick, it made you giggle nevertheless. The redhead used this to slip the fork into your mouth.

You looked up at her in betrayal and reluctantly chewed your food before swallowing.

"Now that wasn't so hard." You burst into tears once more. Natasha didn't have it in her heart to make you eat anymore. It was clearly you weren't doing this to be difficult. Even if it was the case, she didn't want to force you to eat something you clearly didn't want.

You held your arms up to her, and not wanting to be a heartless monster she immediately picked you up in her arms. Your arms wrapped around your neck and your legs wrapped around her waist. She hugged you close and swayed the both of you. "Aww sweetheart."

"I don't like it..." You sniffled, Natasha bent down to grabbed a tissue for you to blow into. She held it up to your nose, and waited for you to take over. "I told you." You added.

"I'm very happy and proud that you at least tried it Y/n." She honestly said as your cries turned into small sniffles. "How abooooout we go watch a movie hmm?"

"Just the two of us?"

"Just the two of us."

"Good. The others were meanies."
