Yelena's first Christmas after getting out of the red room was bound to be chaotic.

She didn't really have any memories of her Christmases with Melina and Alexei, and she certainly didn't celebrate in the Red Room, so this was definitely another thing new to her to which she had to adapt. But the thing is, she didn't really know how.

Yelena invited you and Natasha over. You were excited, it was your first time visiting your Aunt's place. But the minute you stepped inside, you couldn't help but frown at how empty and cold the place was. There were almost no decorations, and it didn't feel very homey... Well maybe it was because she just moved in.

"Where's the tree?" You questioned after the tour Yelena gave you and Natasha, noticing the lack of any christmas decorations in the entire home and especially in her living room. Christmas was just three days away, you thought she'd at least have a tree.

"The tree?" Yelena was confused. Why would she have a tree in her apartment?!

"Yes Christmas tree. Did you not get one?" You asked again, just as equally confused as Yelena.

"... No? Why would I want a tree in my home?"

"Because it's fun, and you can decorate it and make it all pretty!" You exclaimed, all excited just by the thought of it.

"Come on let's get you a tree." Natasha dragged Yelena outside after making sure she had the keys. You followed right behind them, and you all walked to the nearest shop you could find. They didn't have the best looking trees, it was december 22nd after all, but they were still some decent looking ones still available. Yelena was reluctantly following you, but if it was making you happy then she'd get a tree. Anything to see that smile on your face.

"This one!" You pointed to the biggest one you saw. Yelena looked sceptical and Natasha frowned. That tree was too big for Yelena's apartment. You frowned as well hearing this, but you continued to look around to find the best one for her flat. It had to be perfect. "What about this one?"

"What about no tree?" Yelena groaned. She was already over everything and just wanted to go home with NO tree.

"This one is perfect детка." Natasha stroke the back of your head as you both stood side by side admiring the tree. Well, you were. Natasha was just looking, while you basically stared at the tree with stars in your eyes.

After paying, you guided Yelena who was dragging the tree to the car. Then another thing pooped up in your mind. You had the tree, now the only thing missing was...

"Now we have to go shopping for decorations!"

"It's not over yet?!" Yelena grumbled and complained yet again, but you were already walking too far ahead to hear her but Natasha did.

"You wish." Natasha snickered before quickening her pace when she saw you waiting at the next zebra crossing.

This is gonna take forever, she thought.

You got to the shop a couple of minutes later and dragged Yelena to the decoration aisles. Thank God they were still a bunch of stuff. They still had ornaments, fairy lights and tinsels in almost every colour that exists.
