You were happy. You passed your biology test. You got an even better grade than you thought you'd get. Everything was great. Overall, today was a good day for you, and you just couldn't wait to tell Natasha.
"Mum, guess what happened today?" You said taking your shoes off and finally noticed how silent the compound was from the lack of an answer. Usually there would be at least the TV or radio in the background, or sometimes someone fighting or something crashing on the ground but nothing.
"Mama?" You said as you walked further into the compound, only to be met by an empty living room.
You walked down to the lab where you knew Tony would be. You knocked twice and waited for an answer. "Tony?" When you got none, you just opened the door and poked your head inside. It was empty as well.
You did the same with medbay, you knocked twice on the door, asked for Bruce, poked your head inside when you did get an answer to realize that again the room was empty.
You checked the training room for Steve and into the kitchen for Wanda, but no one was there. You made your way back to the living room and plopped on the sofa, sighing.
"Hey JARVIS? Where is everyone?" you asked.
"I believe they are out in town to celebrate Peter's test result on his test. They should be back later this evening. Would you like me to call Natasha for you?"
"Oh." You sat there, looking at the wall in front of you. You couldn't understand what you were feeling. Jealousy? Disappointment? Both, probably. You took out your phone from your pocket and texted Nat.

Yes, we're going out to celebrate Peter's biology test results! And sorry we didn't wait, we just got caught up in the moment.

Well, we just assumed you'd say no. And you have school tomorrow. It's not a good idea to be out too late.

You turned off your phone, and put it back into your pocket. You sighed. You weren't surprised, to be honest. It's not the first that happened. So why were you disappointed?
You looked around, thinking of something for you to do. You ended up opting to do your homework. By the time you were done, you started on dinner. Nothing too fancy, just some pasta. You ate in silence while watching whatever cliché Christmas film they had on the TV. You got up and cleaned the dishes, leaving the kitchen spotless. You went into the bathroom to get ready for bed, you brushed your teeth and washed the dirt from your face. You debated whether you should wash your hair or wait another day. You decided to wait another day and call Melina and Yelena to tell them the news instead. They were happy for you. Though, when they asked what Nat's reaction was... you kinda made it up. You didn't need to start family drama at the moment.
By the time you decided to go lie down, they still weren't home, so you just realized that you wouldn't see Natasha until tomorrow. You walked into her room and left your test on the bedside table, knowing she'd see it. At least she'll know.
You stopped at the doorway before closing the door to her room. You looked back at the test and sighed. You closed the door, heading for bed, and you asked yourself,
"When will she notice me?"
