"Oh my God." Kate unlocked the door and entered her flat, or what was left of it. It was her first time coming back since the fire, so she took a lot around to look at the damage that have been done. The light barely worked, you could hear water trickling, the place was dark, cold, everything was in peace and covered in ash.... it was definitely not as homey as it used to be.

She felt air blowing softly onto her face and turned to notice an opened window.

Weird.

So of course, she heard steps coming behind her.

Slowly walking further into her apartment, everything was quiet except for the sound of broke glass under her boots.

"Kate Bishop." Kate, startled, turned and grabbed the first thing she could land her hands on and threw it at the intruder.

Nice move Kate, nice move. That's totally what's gonna help you get rid of the trespasser. She wanted to say to herself.

In one swift movement, the person caught the jar of hot sauce, stepping out of the shadow, revealing the one and only Yelena Belova. The fight coming back into her mind, Kate glared at the blonde in front of her.

"Hi!" Yelena lowered her hand, dropped the sauce on the table and grabbed a saucepan. Kate couldn't quite see what yet, but it looked like Yelena was holding and hiding something in her arms. "I made macaroni if you want some."

Surprise, Kate took a second to understand before replying "I'm sorry. What?"

Wow, looks like the intruder really made themselves at home. Maybe they got a bit too comfortable.

"Well, she was starving, and you were taking forever. So I wanted to make food." Yelena stepped closer and Kate could see more clearly that Yelena was holding a sleeping child in her arms. Your little body wrapped around her torse , a blanket around you, so you wouldn't get cold.

"What do you want?" Kate said slowly approaching the table as well as you and Yelena, but still keeping her distance. She seemed harmless with a sleeping child in her arms, but you can never be sure, and she knew better than to rely on appearances.

"Relax, Kate Bishop. I just want to talk, okay?" She dropped the pan on the table next to the sauce. She quickly checked you were still asleep, and then she asked, "Are you really not hungry? That fight was so long. It's really tasty. Really tasty. Y/N even approved and God knows she's picky with her food!" She said as she walked towards what was once Kate's kitchen. She looked for the forks, not finding any. Did they all turn to ashes or something?!

"Yeah I know what boxed mac and cheese tastes like. I know it's... It'd delicious." Kate said as she looked at the steaming pot on the table, quickly inspecting it.

"Forks. Forks." Yelena muttered whilst still looking through the kitchen before picking up the fork she had placed in the sink after you used it. Kate looked at her suspiciously, watching in case Yelena decided to do something else. "No. You have one fork?"

"I'm one person."

"That's so weird. Kate, this is not cutlery. This is not cutlery." Yelena said, shaking her head and holding up Kate's only fork and a plastic cutlery set.
