Chapter 41, Snuck Off

Farsarah orders as she takes Belle to her hip, "Everyone on your feet.

"Lamica, get Parmaria.
"Fartommy, get Herpaul.
"Urshawn, get Erray.
"Father Light, get Shadow.
"Lauriah, drag anyone who doesn't follow.

"Let's go.

"Lead us, Urjohn."

She follows the knight back out and waits for each pair to join them.

As Lauriah comes out closing the door, Urshawn asks, "Where are we going, Grand Mother?"

Farsarah taunts, "You're smart, you'll figure it out. Let's go."

Urjohn leads them through the castle and down.

It's near a ten minute walk, before they come to oxen laddened wagons.
Both have hay, one is full of Seers and the other has steps.

Two knights wait on either side of the steps.

Urjohn leads them into the wagon without slowing.

A knight takes Farsarah's hand as she goes up the steps.
The step knights insure all them load safely, then put the steps into the wagon with them.

Urjohn gets up on the driver bench, starts their oxen and the Seer wagon follows.

The ride underground is oddly lit and not consistent.

In the darkest places, the aura about Father Light illuminates the whole wagon bed.

A few minutes into the ride, Erray is dozing on Urshawn's chest, Parmaria is asleep on Lamica's shoulder and Herpaul is asleep on the wagon wall with Fartommy as very amused snuggle toy.

Urshawn softly asks, "When did you learn of my underroad, Grand Mother?"

Farsarah smiles across the wagon, "When I asked how you planned to visit the monastery without getting your hair wet."

Urshawn has a deep breath of the musky air, "We do still have a lot to get done before the Masters are released."

Farsarah gently asks, "Anything that can't wait for sleep?"

Urshawn sighs, "No, Mother. All is well enough."

Farsarah smiles, "Tomorrow. We will plan as a family.

"We will no more run about in reckless pursues.

"We will be a team, if Lauriah has to beat every single one of you."

Urshawn smirks, "Not sure I could take another blow like that kiss."

Lauriah points at him, "That never happened."

Urshawn laughs in his chest quietly, "Agreed."

Erray keeps his eyes closed, "Agreed."

Lauriah bounces with silent laughter.

They are all heavy eyed when Urjohn stops the wagon.

Knights come to take down the steps and help everyone safely to the tunnel floor.

Farsarah leads them with Belle asleep in her arms, to the checkpoint as knights unload the Seers by hug.

Mayajap is waiting and marks down everyone as they come through.

Erray holds up the line to introduce Shadow and Mayajap.

Dirk in waiting in the kitchen as they all come into the warmth and find a feast of pork with baked goods, drinks and hot diced vegetable salad blends.

Erray asks, "You did all this?"

Dirk smiles, "Of course."

Mayajap corrects as everyone finds a seat, "He lit the fires, no more.
