You get home eventually, still hand in hand with Dan.

When you enter the living room, Phil is sitting on the sofa, laptop in hand, with a bunch of Chinese food on the coffee table.

You grin at him.

"Hey, Phil."

He jumps and slams the laptop's lid shut.

"Oh, hey, Y/n. How was the movie?"

"It was amazing! What were you doing on your laptop that was so embarrassing?"

"Uh... reading the hat fic."

"The hat fic?"

"The latest addition to the gross 'phan'fictions."

"Is this the hat fic you're talking about?" Dan asks, coming into the room and looking at you both quizzically.

You nod. "I kinda want to read it now, you've made me curious!"

Dan shakes his head quickly. "If you want to save your innocence, Y/n, I suggest you don't read it."

"Pleeeeeaaaaase?"

"Nope."

You stick out your bottom lip for a moment, then suddenly grab Phil's laptop, open the lid and look at it.

Your eyes widen as you scan the words.

"What the hell... eughhhhhhhh!"

"Told you that you wouldn't want to read it," Dan says, smirking.

You give the laptop back to Phil and wrinkle your nose up in disgust.

"How many of those are there?!"

"Quite a few," Phil replies, grinning at you.

"Disgusting," you mumble.

"I know," Dan says, chuckling.

*le time skip*

You hear your phone ring from down the hallway.

You jump up from your spot on the sofa and run to your room.

You pick it up. The caller ID is unknown.

"Hello?" You say.

"Hi, is this Y/n?"

"Yeah... who is this?"

"It's Effie, from school."

Effie was a girl at your high school, who was once your friend, but then started to bully you. When you left high school, she apologised for everything she did. You still don't fully forgive her.

"Oh, hey! What's up?" you say casually, swallowing all your anger towards her.

"Oh, nothing much. I just thought I'd let you know that your mum is coming to see you tomorrow."

"What?!" you exclaim, almost dropping the phone in shock.

"Yeah, she wants to see how you're getting on," she replies calmly.

"How do you know?" you ask, chewing your lip.

"She told me this morning."

You run a hand through your hair.

"Great. Just great," you mutter, sighing.

"What's wrong?" she asks, completely unaware of the feelings between you and your mum.

"Uhh, nothing. Thanks for telling me anyway. I have to go," you blurt, eager to end the conversation.

"You're welcome. Bye!" she says cheerfully.
