Start from the beginning

With my heart hammering in my chest, I find a small dining room full of fancy silverware and China dishes that are laid out in fancy, handcrafted glass cases for display only.

Ignoring the dining room, I keep walking until I see a living room with a giant television screen, five couches, and speakers placed on the walls next to expensive-looking vases. Everything around this house screams money and there's not one family portrait anywhere. Only the mayor by himself in a blank expression above the fireplace.

Through the space in a doorway, I see Twix on the other side, looking from the far end, but I keep searching, too. He has to have something inside this house. He has to be hiding something.

After exiting the living room, I pass by two downstairs bathrooms, what appears to be a small guest bedroom and a storage area, but no office.

As soon as I'm ready to turn around and tell them I found nothing, I suddenly spot a door that was hidden by a large piece of furniture in the corner of the hallway.

Coming closer to the room, I cross my fingers that this is it. Bringing my hand to the doorknob, I turn the knob only to realize it's locked.

"Shit," I mumble while Twix suddenly comes up to me.

"There's something in here, but it's locked. We might need Taehyung to pick the lock—" before I can even say anything more, Twix kicks the door open.

"We're fine without him," she admits while walking inside the dark room. With my eyes widening from seeing her, I walk inside after her. "Jackpot," she mumbles while pulling out her flashlight. "Check everywhere, look for files or papers, anything useful," she says while rummaging through a drawer.

I follow after her and do the same while bringing out my flashlight. I start with the wall and all the books. I shake them loose, checking for anything that may be hidden inside. However, I find an old letter that falls out of one of the book pages.

"Twix, check this out," I mumble, handing her the letter while I continue to search only to find nothing else out of the rest of the books.

As she rips open the envelope, I go behind the desk while pulling out drawers. I see nothing but his campaign as running again for mayor. I see work files, and to be honest, I don't understand anything but taking out my black bag, I shove the papers inside.

Even if there's nothing here, we may find out something about him.

"Did you find anything?" Taehyung suddenly walks into the room, breathing heavily through the green mask.

"Nope, this letter is about an affair," Twix says. "It's not enough to bring him down. It's not the information we need." She adds.

"Keep looking, there's something here. We know it," Taehyung adds, coming inside the room while searching through the drawers that Twix just went through.

"As much as I want there to be something here, it's not, Taehyung. Nothing is here!" Twix adds while roughly pulling Taehyung around to look at her.

"How would you know when you haven't read all of these," Taehyung yanks off his mask, sweat trickling down his brown bangs.

"Because I skimmed them, dumbass," she takes her mask off now.
