Start from the beginning

"We don't have time to be standing here complaining either. Barbie, do the makeup as fast as you can, and we'll be on our way," after Twix speaks up, Taehyung doesn't say anything else.

He does however leave to go find a vehicle to steal while all of us are getting ready. Of course, there's not much we can do given there's hardly anything useful here, but we have to make the most out of what we have.

Instead of trying to find warm clothes as Taehyung suggested, Barbie says we need black clothes. Ones that don't matter if they are too baggy or not. We need to blend into the night, which I agree with.

Twix heads upstairs into my dad's old bedroom, which has already been looked through as soon as he left. She comes back down a few minutes later carrying black, or close enough, dark clothing for us all to wear along with some of my clothes that I brought down.

Once Twix brings the clothes down, she goes upstairs to tell the others not to wake Jungkook and tells them we'll be back in a while.

While she's upstairs telling the others who are still awake, Barbie has already started my makeup as soon as Taehyung left, and she's almost done by now.

She thinks it's best to use the same makeup as I had before when Jungkook and I were matching. She does my makeup the same as the clown face of that night when we jumped off the building.

I sit still while she finishes the last few touches on my face, but when she shuts the makeup box, I narrow my eyebrows.

"What are you doing? You still have to do the others and yourself." I ask, watching her shake her head.

"We're wearing masks, but you're wearing makeup. And this," she suddenly walks to the black bag, taking out a black crown that I didn't even notice before. Coming closer to me, she places it on my head with a black strap to go underneath my chin so that it won't fall off.

"Is going to be your iconic look for this night. Yeah, Jungkook may be the Street Killer, but you, Vee, need to be seen as someone to be feared, too. After tonight, I know they'll come after us because we'll have the mayor's secrets. And you, you'll be on their target list like Jungkook," she begins while sliding on one of Dad's black jackets.

She grabs one of the neon masks which looks terrifying from seeing them. She puts it on while I examine it.

Two pink X's are over her eyes while instead of having a smile, she's put pink, neon duck tape over where the mouth would be shown. Then, to make it more interesting, she's written Barbie with a black heart at the end of her name with sharpie over the pink tape. Throwing the hood of the jacket over her head, she zips up the front.

"You'll be our leader for a little while, right, Vee?" She breathes thickly through the mask. "You'll bring us out of this Hell,"

I have no words to answer that. I can't be a leader. I can't save everyone. I'm not Ghost or Jungkook. I don't have what it takes to make such decisions.

Twix busts through the basement door with her black hoodie already up. Rushing towards the black bag, she takes out a yellow mask that looks exactly like Barbie's.

Once seeing hers, Barbie steps up and hands her a matching piece of neon yellow tape and a sharpie. Twix doesn't even argue once seeing Barbie's mask. She smiles once seeing it. "Now that shit would be terrifying if I saw that looking into my bedroom window." She laughs while mumbling how much she loves it.
