Chaerin's POV

"Chaerin, wake up." Heiran's voice woke me up as she tapped my shoulder carefully "You should go home and have enough sleep."

"I can't. I have to be here when Hyunjin wakes up. I don't want to miss that chance."

Heiran nodded and smiled, "Okay, but you have to rest at least. We will make sure to call you when Hyunjin is awake."

"I have to be here as soon as he wakes up. I have to tell him something. He'll hate me if I am not here when he wakes up."

"But you look tired." she worriedly said

"I don't feel tired at all. Don't worry about me."

She sighed and gave me a nod, "I'll be outside. Changbin and Chan went to buy your food. Make sure to eat when they come back." and then she left

I fell asleep last night after crying the whole night. They kept telling me to go home and rest, but I refused to go. I wasn't feeling well but I don't want to leave Hyunjin.

We don't know when he will wake up but I am hoping he will soon. I want to tell him how sorry I am and that I want to be with him, and I will keep chasing him no matter what happens.

"Dra. Ahn, I'll just check on him." Nurse Ali said as she entered the room

I gave her a nod.

She did what she have to do, and even made sure that things were okay.

"We have seen a lot of patients in a comatose state and none of them failed us to expect them to wake up within a week. Don't worry. Your husband will wake up in less than a week." Nurse Ali smiled

I smiled a little at her answer.

"Just get some rest and make sure to be strong. I am sure Atty. Hwang will be so mad if he sees your situation like that." Nurse Ali added and left the room

Out of all the nurses, Nurse Ali is the one I am close with, and she knows my story with Hyunjin, but I never mentioned Felix. Hyunjin met Ali a lot of times and was close to her as well. She is younger than us, and that made us look like we are a family.

I held Hyunjin's hand tightly and caress the back of his hand using my thumb, "You'll wake up, right?"

I have so many regrets. I regret letting him save me, I regret letting him leave me that night at Felix's house, I regret threatening her with the divorce, I regret not fixing everything between us.

"If you think I am in love with Felix, maybe I really am, and I don't notice it, because I kept telling myself that I am in love with you- It was because I am trying so hard to be better and give back the love you give me."

I am not stupid not to realize things...

"When you said you were hurting so much and you can't bear the pain anymore... I knew. I am fucking stupid not to notice. While I am trying my best to prove that I love you, instead of making you feel good, you felt pain."

If only I knew it would turn out like this.

"Hyunjin, wake up. Just wake up. I promise not to beg you and cry over the divorce. I will let you go... Just wake up. I don't wanna lose you."

Tears started falling from my eyes.

"Chaerin." Heiran arrived and gave me a hug from my back

"I was hurting him so much. I didn't even notice. I was so stupid. I am selfish. Heiran, I don't deserve him at all. He gives me all the good things in life, while I give him pain and sadness."

"That's not true. Hyunjin would never say that. I know he is grateful to you for staying with him and giving him memories to cherish all his life." Heiran

"He knew for a long time. He fucking knew from the beginning that I am in love with Felix- But I swear. I am trying to love him. I swear I am trying." I cried

"Ssshh... We know. You tried so hard. We witnessed it. Don't cry. Hyunjin knows too. That divorce is not because he hates you. He did that to give you freedom and let you choose. It's all up to you now. If that will make him happy, then do it." she said as she caress my back

I kept crying as I looked at Hyunjin.

"Felix said he removed Hyunjin from the case. He won't handle it from now on." Heiran

"But what about his parents?"

"I don't know. He said he will take care of it. Don't worry. He knows what to do." Heiran smiled at me-

"Excuse me..." someone went inside and I believe it was Hyunjin's assistant in law firm

"I'll leave you two here to talk." Heiran said and left the room

"I am Atty. Chua, and I was told by Atty. Hwang to talk to you in person and make sure you sign the divorce papers." Atty. Chua said

I chuckled and nodded, "Until now, he wants me to sign it."

He handed me the envelope.

I opened it and was shocked to see an ordinary paper with letters handwritten by Hyunjin.

"Are you kidding me? This is not the divorce papers I received last time. This is some joke. What the hell?"

"There were no legal divorce papers to sign." Atty. Chua

"What do you mean?"

"There was no marriage certificate. It was all fake." Atty. Chua

"What are you saying? That's impossible. I-"

"He said he did it for you and Felix. A king can't marry a woman who already married someone. So, he did it. Ha faked it." Atty. Chua

Tears started falling from my eyes again, "Why would he do that?"

"He wanted you to end up with whom you really love."
