Hyunjin's POV

I woke up as I heard my alarm rang so loud. That really woke me up. I usually don't put my alarm that loud but I guess Chaerin did it. She probably knew that if I am alone, I won't be able to wake up, because she is not here with me.

I went to the bathroom and got ready, which only took me almost an hour. As I finished, I left the house and headed to the law firm. I received messages from Chaerin last night which I am going to read now...


From: Chaerin
Hello, I just want to say good night. I am sure you are already sleeping at this hour. Also, Felix and I talked earlier. I am telling you this because I don't want you to think that I am keeping it as a secret. We agreed not to get awkward with each other, since we will be hanging out with him in the future. Anyway, have a good sleep!


A smile appeared on my lips after reading that. I wasn't expecting for her to open up like that but I am happy that she is always willing to tell me in order not to get mad. I wouldn't get mad anyway.

I also don't want them to get awkward with each other. 

As I arrived at the law firm, I went straight to our floor and my secretary is standing outside my office. 

"Why are you standing there?" 

"Good morning. I was waiting for you. There was a client who is looking for you and barged inside your office. I told her to wait for you in the meeting room but she refused, and she looks mad." he said 

"What's her name?" 

"I don't know her actually. She is new. I didn't get to ask her because she was really mad earlier." he added 

"It's fine. I'll talk to her." 

He bowed and went to his table. 

I entered and the woman is on her phone, "Good morning-"

"Are you Attorney Hwang? I heard you are a very good lawyer. I was hoping if you could help me with suing my stupid ex boyfriend?" she said nonstop that shocked me

This is must be why my secretary was shock. 

"We were in a relationship for two years and I never fucking expected for him to act like a jerk for past few months. He said he wanted to do it with me but I always refuse since I wanted to get married first. But he always insist and would call me names, like bitch, slut, fucks everyone around, and a whore. Tell me what kind of boyfriend does that!?" she sounded so angry 

"No one, of course-"

"Exactly! Just because I didn't let him fuck me, that doesn't mean he can call me names! Also, he cheated on me multiple times and fucked those girls. Tell me who wouldn't get mad? There was this one time that he made a scene and ruined my image as well as my company. He caught me having a meeting with a very important male client, and he made a scene in public, he fucking ruined my image!" she is really mad. I can tell. 

"I see-" 

"Can you imagine that? He was so nice in front of my family and he would suddenly act like that? It wasn't just that. He almost killed me one time because I refused to give him my credit card. He wanted to buy a car! It's my money! Why would I give it to him?!" she added and even rolled her eyes 

"Do you have evidences?"

"Do we need that?! I am the evidence!" she said and showed me some bruises on her arms and legs, then she suddenly took off her blazer "See?"

I hurriedly turned away and took a deep breath, "O-Okay. We can take you to the hospital first and we can get a medicolegal for those bruises. And then some text messages between you both. Also, if there are pictures or videos of his abuse, we can use that." 

"I have a cctv in my apartment. I saved the copy of when he almost killed me-" she said

"I guess we could use that. But can you put on your blazer first?" 

"Oh! Sorry." she said and wore her blazer 

"I guess we should-" 

"Can I take back all my money and put him to jail? I have all the evidences that you mentioned. I really want him to rot in jail and make sure to regret what he did. That jerk. He is so lucky that my brother doesn't know about these bruises or else he will die in an instant." she angrily said 

"Atty. Hwang?" secretary called and entered holding a tray with two coffee on it "Good morning, ma'am. I am Attorney Hwang's secretary. I got you both some coffee." 

"Thank you we really needed that." 

He smiled and left the office. 

"I would really appreciate if you will calm down and tell me everything really careful." 

"Who wouldn't get mad? He threatened me that he will sue me. Okay then! I don't care. That jerk thinks he can always go against me." she rolled her eyes 

"If you won't calm down, I won't help you win this case. You suddenly barged in here and talked about your case, when I am fully scheduled today and don't have time to waste any second. I don't even know your name." 

"Sorry." she said in a calm voice 

"Your name?" 

"I am Moon Sangmi." she said-
