Adele and Ethan, Beau and Elijah and Kayla and Lillian are standing around talking. Demi is with Joe.
Demi and Joe make their way over to the group, Ethan catches sight of him and starts walking up to them.
Ethan: Holy shit Joe!
Ethan hugs Joe
Joe: Hey dude.
Ethan: Man I missed you so much!
Joe: Missed you too dude.
Goes around the group saying hi, and hugging them
Joe gets to Elijah
Joe: Who's this?
Beau: This is Elijah, Eli. He's my boyfriend.
Joe: Wait you're gay?
Beau: Bisexual.
Joe: Jeez, I have missed a lot.
Adele: Don't worry, we'll catch you up on everything later.
Joe notices Ethans leg
Joe: Hey dude, you got your prosthetic!
Ethan: Yeah! And no crutches too.
Joe: That's amazing. And Dem you're able to stand now too.
Demi: Physio w-works wonders.
Ethan: It really does.
Both laugh
Kayla: Should we go sit at our table?
Demi: Yeah, m-my legs ache.
Ethan: And mine.
All go and sit down
Joe: I'm guessing you guys wanna know how rehab was.
Adele: Just a bit curious.
Joe: Well to answer the question that I know what you're all thinking...Yes I'm clean. No more smoking or alcohol.
Ethan: Well done dude.
Demi: I'm s-so proud of you.
Joe: Thanks Dem.
He kisses her on the forehead
Elijah: Wait so what did you do there other than get clean?
Joe: Mainly group therapy. One on one too. Lots of therapy basically to try and replace the drinking with a hobbie.
Kayla: Sounds like hell.
Demi: Kayla!?
Joe: (laughs softly) It was to be honest in the first two months. But it got a lot easier as time went on. I feel like I changed a lot too in those months.
Adele: You do seem different.
Joe: You think?
Demi: Y-you look happier.
Joe: Well that, is because I'm at my prom, with my amazing girlfriend and friends.
Demi: Eh, I g-guess that helps a bit.
All laugh
