Elijah: Yeah she's my sister.
Lacey: Adopted.
Demi: Beau d-did you know about that?
Beau: Yeah Dem, I knew.
Lacey: Who cares!? Eli come on, I need your help.
Elijah: And I said no Lace. Just like move away from those guys or something.
Kayla: Or get Jesse to beat them up like he did with Joe.
Lacey: Jesse doesn't do that now, god knows why. (In a patronising voice) Where is Joe anyways? Haven't seen your little boyfriend around Demi?
Demi: He's away f-for a little while.
Lacey: Knowing him he's probably drunk in a ditch somewhere!
Demi: Y-you don't know him.
Lacey: He drinks so much, did you know that? (Laughs) One time he actually did end up in a ditch. It was hilarious.
Elijah: Lace, come on stop it.
Lacey: I wonder if Kira knows where he is? Should I go ask her?
Demi: W-why don't you g-go run back to Jesse?
Lacey: At least I have someone to run to.
Elijah: Lacey stop.
Lacey: Fine. Eli, we're going over there.
Elijah: No, you are. I'm staying.
Lacey: But she-
Elijah: See you at home Lace.
Lacey walks off annoyed
Elijah: I am so so sorry all of you, especially you Demi. I hate how she treats everyone, and just know that I am not like that.
Demi: Thanks, I g-guess.
Beau: Well this has been one hell of a first introduction, but we have class in about 5 minutes, so we'll see you all later.
Adele: Beau we have music, you might as well wait for me and Dem.
Beau: Good point.
The four get ready to leave and go to class
Elijah: Bye guys. And sorry again.
Beau, Elijah, Demi and Adele leave
Kayla: That was interesting.
Ethan: That's one word for it.
Kayla and Ethan exit
Bell rings
Demi, Adele, Beau and Elijah on their way to music
Adele: You okay Dem?
Demi: Y-yeah, just a b-bit dizzy, that's all.
Beau: We can stop for a sec if you need to rest.
Demi: No, n-no, I'm fine.
All carry on making their way to class - Demi looking very disorientated
Jesse comes up from behind them
Jesse: Hey Demi, I just wanted to apologise for Lacey earlier. I heard she was being rude about Joe, so I'm sorry about that. Hope he comes back soon!
Jesse walks away
Adele: What the fuck was that?
Demi: W-what h-happened?
Beau: Jesse just said sorry about Lacey. He was just here Dem?
Demi: Oh. I d-didn't r-realise?
Adele: Dem you okay? You're stuttering a lot more than usual.
Demi: I'm f-f-fine.
Elijah: (to Beau) Why is she stuttering more than she was 10 minutes ago?
Beau: I'll explain later.
All get to music eventually
Adele goes in first, followed by Beau and Elijah
Adele: Hi Mr Smith!
Mr Smith: Hi Adele, hi Beau. (Sees Elijah) Oh, and you must be Elijah?
Elijah: Yeah that's me.
Mr Smith: Ah then welcome to music!
Elijah: Thanks. What do you want me to do first?
Mr Smith: These lot have been writing songs so maybe Beau, Adele could you show Elijah your songs?
Adele: Yeah sure.
Beau: I'll show you around too.
Adele, Beau and Elijah walk off
Demi comes into the room - looking very disorientated and tired
Mr Smith: Woah Demi are you alright?
Demi: F-f-f-fine. Just t-t-tired.
Mr Smith: Okay? Just take it easy yeah? If you need me then just shout.
Demi nods and wheels into one of the practise rooms
Isaac is in there sitting at the piano
Isaac: Oh hey Demi! How've you been?
Demi: N-not b-bad. H-how about y-you?
Isaac: Good apart from fracturing my collarbone.
Demi laughs but then spaces out and starts to hyperventilate
Isaac: Dem you okay? Dem?
Demi: Y-yeah.
Demi tries to stand up, stands up for a second
Isaac: Dem what you doing? You're gonna fall!
Demi tries to walk and falls over and hits the ground
Isaac: Jesus Dem! Demi?
Demi passed out
Isaac: MR SMITH!
Demi wakes up a little while later...
Adele sitting next to her on the floor, Isaac, Beau and Elijah, along with Mr Smith are gathered around her
Adele: Hey Dem.
Demi: Hi? W-why am I on the f-f-floor?
Isaac: You tried to stand but fell and passed out.
Demi: I d-don't r-remember?
Adele: I think you had a small seizure as well Dem. It looked like you were seizing a couple minutes ago.
Demi: D-damn it.
Mr Smith: Demi, I've called your mum, and she's gonna take you home.
Demi: G-good. I c-can r-rest.
Mr Smith: Exactly.
Demi's mum comes a bit later and picks her up to take her home
