Nepal - Love at First Sight (Pt. 1)

I know Nepal is not an official character in Hetalia but lately I just couldn't resist adding this country in. You can read why at the end of this oneshot uwu~

This one ended up being very long so I divided it into two parts with eight sub-parts. The first five sub-parts are in this part 1.

Here is a glossary of terms for my readers who are not familiar with India or Nepal:

💚 Darjeeling - District and city in West Bengal - famous for Darjeeling tea.
💚 Uttar Pradesh - state in North India
💚 Uttarakhand - same as above
💚 Haryana - same as above. It's where New Delhi is located
💚 Noida - City in Uttar Pradesh
💚 Gurugram - City in Haryana
💚 Dehradun - Hill-station in Uttarakhand
💚 Agra - City in Uttar Pradesh, where the Taj Mahal is located.
💚 Kathmandu - Capital of Nepal
💚 Gorkha - another term to refer to Nepalis; more so for the ones either in the Nepali or Indian Army.

1. Meeting.

"Welcome home!" Rahul, your best friend, cheered as he opened the door to welcome you in.

"Thanks!" you smiled, opening your arms. He immediately gave you a bone-crushing hug.

When both of you parted, he took your bags and led you inside while excitedly expressing his joy at your coming to stay with him for a couple weeks. Rahul was a brigadier in the Army and lived in a pretty nice house in the Army cantonment in the capital. He happened to be on vacation and hearing that you were planning to visit India, called you to stay with him for the entirety of your vacation.

And so you went, and you were now seated on his sofa while your luggage sat on the floor by your feet. Rahul muttered something under his breath and moving towards the backyard door, called out,

"Ayush!" and then an instruction in a language you didn't recognise.

The gentle but hurried-sounding voice of a man was heard as he emerged from the garden and entered the living room. 

You laid eyes on him and found him to be a very handsome man with dark brown monolid eyes, mildly tanned skin, a clean shaven face, and short straight hair styled neatly in a crew cut. He was dressed in a grey t-shirt and a pair of dark green sweatpants.

Both of your eyes met.

"Hello," he quietly greeted in English with a smile, and you responded with the same.

"This fellow's name is Ayush Karki," said Rahul with a smile, holding the guy's shoulder, "He comes over every day to do the gardening and some housework. He's been coming for quite a long time now, and he's like a friend to me. You can ask him if you need any help. "
