"Nanda?", a sweet voice called.

"Po?", Y/N replied, pausing from her embroidery.

"Hindi ka ba magsisiesta?", Nanay Anita sent her a warm smile as she set their usual merienda on the coffee table. The golden butterfly clip kept her hair away from her face as usual.

Y/N's voice was a happy little whisper as they both looked toward her brothers sleeping on their banig on the sala's floor.

Little Koy was using Kuya Alessandro's bare torso as his personal heater and pillow while Kuya Sandro was clearly bothered by the excess heat but was too asleep to move away from Koy's grip.

"Sila nalang, ho. Hindi rin naman ako inaantok, eh", Y/N said, thanking her mother when she took the teacup of tsokolate from its coaster.

Nanay Anita chuckled at the surely ridiculous face Y/N was making as she almost gulped the hot cocoa down.

"Dahan-dahan lang, baka mapaso dila mo!", she chastised.

"Kay sarap talaga ng tsokolate mo, Nay!", Y/N whined, excusing herself when she burped a little too loudly.

"Ikaw naman, makapagsalita ka, parang mayroon akong salamangka", Nanay rolled her eyes but her lips were curved in a smile.

She looked over to what Y/N was embroidering.

"A?", Nanay wondered. Y/N's fingers froze halfway through poking the needle through the fabric.

"Sinong 'A', anak?", Nanay's voice was innocent but Y/N turned bashful when she saw the glint in her mother's eyes.

"Ang kuya Alessandro mo ba 'yan?", Nanay 'guessed'.

Y/N just attempted to smile.

"Ah! Alam ko na", Nanay giggled, taking her fan that was resting on her skirt.

"Ang binatang nag-aya sa'yong sumayaw  noong nakaraan nating piging?", she asked.

Y/N just whined and tried to look away, but Nanay was bouncing on her seat ss she giggled and fanned herself.

"Si... Angelito Bernal ba, hija? Siya ba ang ninanasa ng iyong puso?"

"Naaayy!", Y/N blushed, looking away.

Nanay almost cackled with her excitement.

"Sige nga, sabihin mo nga kay Nanay ang laman ng kanyang pangalawang liham?".

"Akala ko binasa niyo na ni Tatay bago niyo binigay sa akin", Y/N mumbled, her face feeling warmer by the second.

"Eh, gusto kong marinig mula sa nga bibig mo ang kanyang mga salita"

Y/N gave her mother a desperate look, "Nay, nakakahiya po!", She whined.

"Ha? Mahihiya ka sa Nanay mo? Eh simula mga sanggol pa kayo -"

"Sige na nga, po", Y/N sighed through her pout.

Nanay's grin was as bright as the house's lamps when Y/N reluctantly pulled the letter from inside her chest.

Y/N's shaky hands held the paper like it was fragile glass and her voice was just above whisper as she tried to keep herself as composed as possible.

Tangina halata namang gising na iyang pandak na gago diyan, Y/N thought as she spotted her Kuya's eyes moved beneath his eyelids and how his lips twitched as if he wanted to laugh.
