Rory, Grandma and Grandpa started looking at pictures from a photo album and Eric and i talked
Suddenly, tension builds as grandma walks into the kitchen and grandpa walks into the living room
"whats wrong?" i asked Rory
She shrugged her shoulders "i-i dont know"
"Coffee" Eric says, and we walk into the kitchen. where grandma is leaning by the counter
"you ok grandma?" i ask, pouring two cups of coffee
"what? oh yes, of course dear" She flashed a smile and then walked out
"is she ok?" Eric asked as i handed him his mug, i shrugged my shoulders
We took our coffee mugs, and walked into the foyer, i started putting on my shoes
"what are you doing?" He questioned
"going to play in the snow, what do you think?" i rolled my eyes
"Lory, your litteraly in a skirt and button up, you dont even have your sweater on" Eric pointed at
"no shit"
"your going to get frostbite"
"no i wont, im amune to the cold" i said, and ran outside, coffee in hand
i planted myself in a big snowbank, and sipped my coffee
I watched as Eric putb on his shoes and buttoned up his winter jacket and put on his dark blue hat, shut the door and joined me
"i love snow" i said, smiling
"you gilmores and your snow" Eric jokingly rolled his eyes
"shut it surfer boy" i took a sip of my coffee
"hey, surfing is a sport, it is not to be insulted on my watch" he threw a snowball at me
"your on" i said, standing up, and threw an even bigger snowball back at him
"Mercy, mercy!" he waved his white-coffee-mug in the air
"thats what i thought" i sat back down, and took a long sip of my coffee
Eric plopped down beside me, and layed his head on my shoulder
"are you happy your going to chilton?" Eric asked after a bit
Of course i am, i have friends now
"i mean, the cafeteria doesnt have shit food, that'll do it for me" i said
"Come on Scarlett, really"
"well ya, i finnaly take good classes, and i get to be with people that are as smart as i am" i replied
"Scarlett, ive been your friend forever, i know you, i know how you have trouble making friends, i know-" he started
"i dont have trouble making friends" i inturupted him
"Scar, its ok to admit it-"
"Admit what? i dont know what your talking about" i hopped off the snowbank and walked inside

The rest of the night i didnt talk to eric, Rory and i slept in moms old room, and Eric slepped in The guest room
When it was time go to, Eric tried to say bye, but i ignored him, and got in the car
"Hi" mom said, walking out of the house, greeting Rory and i
"Hi, whats up?" Rory replied
"Nothing whats up with you?" Mom looked really nervous
"You have somthing to tell us"
"boy you're so smart, right, okay, here we go, I've got a boy in the house"
"you what?" Rory asked suprised
Why is rory making a big deal out of this?
"nothing happened i swear, he slept the whole night on the couch" Mom said "you know him, actually"
"we do?" I asked
"and you like i dont know if thats relevent, i just thought that i would throw it out there" we walked into the house and into the living room
"its Mr.Medina" Rory said
"i know" Mom replied
"my english teacher is on my couch"
"So?" i asked, more to me, than to her
"It was the snow. You know how I get, its like catnip. I was walking, he was there, his car was broken, we had fiesta burgers. It was the snow. . . .Rory, say something" Mom followed Rory into the kitchen
I made a cup of coffee while they talked, Lane then walked out of Rorys bedroom, and mom walked out of the kitchen
After Max left, Mom and i went up to my room
She was looking through the binder for the wedding
"mom" i said
"yes princess"
"i dont think theres anything wrong with you dating Max" I told her
She smiled "im glad to hear that kid"

I walked into school, and went straight to my locker
When i opened it, a bunch of caramel candys fell out, there was a black box sat ontop of my chem book
i opened the lid, there was more caramel candies, i dug through it, and found a beatifl black bow, with a little diomand in the middle
"Im sorry" i turned around, and eric stood there
"i know friends is a sore subject for you, i shouldnt have brought it up, please dont be mad" He said
I popped a caramel candy in my mouth and didnt say anything
"a penny for your thoughts?" He said, nervously
"im just thinking, how can i say no"
His face dropped
"how could i say no...to my best friend in the whole world" He smiled and hugged me
"thanks for the bow, bug" i whispered in his ear
"anything for you, princess"
