"Just give up Y/N. You're going to slowly die here if you keep this up."
"You're foolish if you think I'm going to give up that easily." I gritted out as I held his blade.
Slenderman in the meantime had tried to convince Zen to join me. He knew I stood no chance without any help.
"Help her! You know she doesn't stand a chance against him!"
Zen glared at him as he tried to ignore the battle happening beside him. Although the flames were quite high, he was still able to see Slenderman on the other side.
"Wasn't this what you wanted? For her to die? You left her alone with Zalgo for two weeks!"
"Zen, I'm begging you! I no longer want her to die! If you care for her, which I know you do, you would help her."
"Fuck you! I don't need to listen to your stupid orders!" He finally looked at the battle on his side. Reality seemed to hit him as he noticed my bloody shoulder. Zalgo would play dirty if it guaranteed him winning.
Zalgo kept avoiding my attacks whenever I tried to swing at him. I started to get frustrated with how I couldn't even touch him. He summoned a dagger to hit mine. We kept pushing our daggers until another one swung against him, making him teleport back.
"Zen?" I was confused. Why would he try to kill him when he knows he has the same fate as Zalgo?
"I'm not letting him win." He assured me. "I'd rather die with him than live with guilt for the rest of my life."
We both grabbed our weapons tighter as we faced Zalgo. Zalgo cracked his neck to the side with a smirk. "I guess I have to end Slenderman's proxies in front of him. Perfect."
Zen and I ran toward him, ready to charge at him.
On the other side, the pastas barely arrived. They looked at the ring of fire in horror as they saw their friend fight the demon inside.
"What the fuck is happening?" Liu muttered.
"Why haven't you teleported inside to get her!" Masky exclaimed.
"It's Zalgo's ring of fire. No one can get in or out." Slenderman answered. "We can't do anything but hope Y/N can kill him."
Puppeteer looked at the battle in front of him with fear. "There must be something we can do! She's in no condition to fight!"
"He's right," E.J added. "She's going to strain herself."
"Who's fighting with her?" Painter asked, noticing there was a third person inside.
"That's Zen, my first proxy."
Zen and I kept swinging at Zalgo which he kept dodging. My moves kept on slowing down due to exhaustion. As much as my body wanted to give up, I couldn't. My life was at stake here along with the pasta's and possibly the world. Zalgo can't win.
Zalgo finally noticed my moves were slowing down. He grinned before using his hand to send me flying to the side. I groaned as I lay on the floor, a couple of inches away from the fire. Closing my eyes, I tried to breathe. It was harder than I thought considering all I smelled was smoke and the wound in my shoulder didn't help either.
Maybe it was the smoke or the pain or possibly my body was exhausted, but I felt the world shaking as I felt a high pitch ringing in my ears. The blurry image of the fire with the pastas outside was all I could make out before I closed my eyes again. I felt my energy drained yet I somehow was managed to sit up. But when I finally stood on one knee and opened my eyes, I was greeted by a horrible sight.
