At the tender age of five, two young girls were happily playing through a nearby wooded, across the way from where they're parents were sitting at the park around the corner. The girls were being treated to a nice afternoon at the park after being taken to church this morning. They're patents were both seriously religious, esspecially they're mothers, which is why they were such good friends.

They're simple pleated white dresses now spotted in dirt, mud and water as they kept running away from one another.

They're giggles echoed through the trees and rippled along the river as they ran past the looping stream. They screamed and yelled as each of them tapped they're arms, running away from each other as soon as they came into contact with one another.

"Youre not going to catch me!" A young madison screamed as she ran across the log of a fallen tree that lined the floor, between two huge rocks.

"Im going to get you!" Zara yelled as she followed madison across the log, bouncing against the rocks as she raced to catch her friend.

The two raced each other around the trees and rocks, circling around logs. The ground around them crunching and cracking as each of they're feet landed on the blanket of branches snapping it into two.

Finally, they stopped running, taking a break next to the stream of water, panting and laughing. Laying down beside it they let they're hands flow through the water, feeling the slimy rocks submerged under the water. They're dresses now covered in mud from the waist down as they calmed down and listened to the calm wind rustling the tree leaves around them.

"So slimy!" Madison laughed as she ran a finger through the moss on the top of the rock.

"Yeah, it's fluffy!" Zara giggled. "Look over there!" She said looking down the stream "theres a fishy!"

Madison observed the fish as it struggled to swim upstream. She shuffled over and gave it a gentle push up the stream, she giggled as she felt its tail swishing against her palm.
"It tickles!"

"Hes so cute!" Zara said as she watched the tiny little fish swim fast past the pebbles and moss.

Madison sighed laying her head down ontop of her hand, dropping stones into the water, watching the ripples expand and grow before finally dissapearing back into the natural flow of the water.

"I love the water, zar-zar."

"I know maddie. It's nice isn't it?"

"I wish I was a mermaid!" Madison said excitedly.

Zara laughed at her and splashed some water in her face. Madison exclaimed as she kneeled infront of her and water, now brushing some mud off her cheek."What was that for zara?!"
