"OMG" Is Inappropriate?

So last night I was chilling on Facebook, checking for any updates and all while I played the Sims 4.

This stupid computer Sim wouldn't stop coming onto my lot and every time I would get one of my Sims to POLITELY ask her to leave, a few minutes later, she would come RIGHT BACK!

Like hello? We chat on the phone like, everyday, is that not good enough for you?

Anyways, I started bugging me so to make it a good laugh, I posted a status update on facebook about it.

Here is what I posted:

"OMG this stupid Sim won't leave my household! She's like, stalking them. Terri! Leave them alone!"

A couple hours later, I'm watching Aladdin like a boss and suddenly my phone vibrates.

I check it and I had received a text message from my grandmother.

Yeah, that's right. I text my grandmother! Got a problem with that bro? xD

Anyways, getting back to the story.

Her message was:

"I think 'OMG' may be inappropriate for Facebook. Glad you finally made an account! XOXO."

...Come again?

How the heck is OMG inappropriate? Even for FACEBOOK?

Grandma, I know OMG usually means "Oh My God" and I know you're quite religious (Hey I am too, again not judging!) but when I say it, it means "Oh My Gosh".

Believe me, there were FAR MORE WORSE things I could have said in that status update.

Since when did people start to think saying "OMG" is inappropriate? It's just an acronym!

Sometimes, I really just don't get my grandmother :/

I'm pretty 100% sure I know the answer to this question, but do YOU guys think saying "OMG" is inappropriate online and/or offline ?
