The drive took a while, and as predicted Miles refused to tell me where he was taking me so it stayed a surprise until we arrived at the fancy restaurant that I stand in front of right now. I look to my left, seeing a long line of men dressed in suits and women in delightful dresses and beautiful hairstyles. I look down at my mom-jeans and Miles's hoodie that he gave me because I was freezing. And then I look at Miles that fits in with the others with his usual grey suit pants and a black t-shirt. The line is moving and the people are moving inside the big golden doors while I just stare at them embarrassed.

"You really have a problem with staring don't you, Sunshine?" Miles says as he stands tall in front of me with a sarcastic smile that I usually like but it kind of annoyed me because I know what he is peeking at.  I give him an angry glance and then change the subject "Are we eating here while I look like this?" I say as a point at myself.

"I think you kind of look cute in my hoodie, so I thought why not?"

"You're not supposed to look cute in here Miles, just look around you. I'm gonna be a joke in there. Everybody is going to stare at me thinking I got here by accident or something." He puts his arm around my waist, pulling me into him "Nobody is allowed to stare at you while I'm around, Sunshine, don't worry." He plants a soft kiss on top of my head that warms my heart before he lets go of me and heads toward his car. He then comes back with a bag in his hand.

"I always have everything under control, even this. Go into the toilet and change into this when we get in." He hands the bag over to me after showing the security guard his ID and getting us in without standing in line.

Following Miles's instructions to the toilet, I finally find it and unpack the bag he gave me. Inside is a pair of black high heels and an elegant dress in a dirty pink color. When I get the dress out to put it on I notice a makeup bag at the bottom of the bag. He really has thought this whole thing out. I wonder if he bought everything himself or if he asked for help. Who could he have asked for help? Once again I notice how little I know about him, and that's something I really want to change. I am going to change it, but slowly so as not to pressure him.

Pushing all of my thoughts and questions away I put on the beautiful dress that fits me perfectly. It ends below my knees and goes perfectly with the heels and the color of the lipstick he bought with the makeup. I try to fix my hair but after many failed attempts I just let it fall down.

Because I immediately went to the bathroom I don't know where our table is when I get out. The place is very big and I feel lost. I tried finding Miles by walking and looking around but there it was impossible to find him, so I pick my phone out of my purse and call him instead.

"Hello Miles, where are you? I can't find you."

"Sunshine, just look around at the left corner of the restaurant and you'll find the most handsome man sitting at a table waiting for you." I try to look around again and give up because I really can't see him. "Could you just come and get me from the bathrooms please, this place is like a maze."

"I'm walking toward you right now, I think I see you. Wave at me." I wave but I still can't see him. "Yes, it's you I knew it. Who could shine brighter than you? And I must say I made a great choice in that dress, it looks magnificent on you."

"Don't give all of the creeds to yourself, it is I that's wearing the dress and I made the dress look beautiful."

"Well that's no lie, Sunshine, you don't look bad yourself." With those words I see him standing In front of me, looking down at me. He too has changed into a black long-sleeved shirt with a grey coat hanging on his right shoulder. He leans down and lands a kiss on my cheek before taking my arm into his to lead me to our table. It feels weird. I feel like his kisses are grown to a bigger amount these last couple of days and I like it more than I should.

When we arrive at the table I see that there is already food served for us. "I see you've already ordered for the two of us."

"Well, I had this prepared before we came here". That got me thinking about how we got in here so easily and how he could get all of these dishes prepared this fast."I'm guessing you have some kind of contacts here." I say as I sit down on the chair that he drags out for me.

"The owner and the chef of this place is my best friend, you'll meet him later when he comes out of the kitchen." He says as he sits down in front of me on the other side of the round table full of dishes. I feel the happiness sparkle in my body as he mentions someone close to him and even says that I will get to meet him. So I will get to know him after all. "Omg!" I scream. Miles looks at me with shock as I put a hand on my mouth. I lean over the table and almost whisper to him because I feel that I'm starting to annoy others already. "Am I meeting your best friend?" I ask, uncertain of what I just heard.

"Yes. Can't you believe that I have other friends than you or what's the matter?" He asks with an unsure laugh. "Noo. No, that's not it, I just never thought that I would ever meet someone that's close to you." He just smiles and starts digging into the pasta dish in front of him and just then I realize how hungry I am so I follow along and start eating too.

We talk in-between bites of food and laugh a little. I feel people's eyes staring at us and it makes me uncomfortable at first but Miles teaches me to ignore them as he does, and I take after him.

"Would the cute couple like a bottle of fresh red wine?" A man dressed in black pants, a white shirt, and a navy blue apron, with brown strands of hair sticking outside the chef's hat, stands beside our table with a towel on his left arm and a bottle of wine in his hand.
