Slenderman pinned me towards the wall as he got closer to me.
"What did you say?"
I gulped before meeting his gaze. "Zalgo told me he would let you all live if I agreed to-"
"That was in the past!"
"We went into the future!" I tried to explain. "He said he can prevent this from happening if I-"
"Then do it," he interrupted me as he let me go. "If you can save the others including my brothers, then do it! "
"But it means I'll be sacrificing my freedom! I would be stuck in the under realm working for him!" I cried.
"I don't have an issue if you work for him. If the others are back, then we could stop you from killing me." He pulled back. " You were never free to begin with, Y/N. Do you honestly think you can live in peace with Zen knowing how many of us got killed for your selfish decision? I don't think declining would be ideal for you."
I froze at what he had said. How did he know about our plan? What the hell did he mean by me killing him?
"I found his letter in your room after they all died," he answered.
I looked down in shame as I pulled my hair. He was right. There was no way I could live with Zen knowing the pastas died because of me. This reality had to be prevented at all costs, yet I wasn't sure if I was ready to pay the price.
"I can't do it," I whispered as I broke down. "I can't become his! I need to kill him! I need you to understand that I can't do it!"
"You can't or you won't?"
I moved my gaze to the floor once again. "Slender you must understand. It pains me that the others are dead and I want to be able to revive them, but I'm afraid of Zalgo and what he'll do to me!"
"Then it's obvious I raised a cold-blooded monster."
I felt my rage fuel inside me and found myself screaming at him, "You made me believe that emotions were weak! It took me years to realize they were normal! And you didn't raise me! Zen did!"
Slenderman grabbed my shoulder with his tendril and pushed me near the door along with my jacket that was on the floor.
"Make the damn deal with Zalgo because I don't know how long I'll be able to take without my brothers. If you truly want Sally and Zen to come back, you know what to do!" He opened the door and threw my body outside. I closed my eyes as I felt my body hit the cold hard floor. I was still wearing my tank top so I was able to see some scratches on my arms.
Slenderman stood by the stairway before he went inside and slammed the door shut. I silently cried as I crawled to my jacket to put it on.
I couldn't think of anything to do besides making that stupid deal with Zalgo. Maybe it's because I was overwhelmed by everything that happened in a matter of an hour, but I couldn't think of any other way to confront this. Zalgo had won.
I slowly got up and looked towards the mansion as I remembered what Slenderman had told me when the pastas were fighting Zalgo.
"Your job is to make sure they survive. Remember that!"
I bit my lip as I prevented sobs from coming.
"You knew this was going to happen, didn't you!" I yelled facing the mansion. "You knew the pastas were going to get hurt because you knew immortality didn't work! You knew Zalgo was going to make me sacrifice myself for you guys!"
I fell to my knees as I let my sobs out.
"I hate how you lied to me! I hate how you treated me as a slave! I hate how you never cared for me! I fucking hate you!"
