"You bitch!" Zen yelled out as he pulled his hair back in distress. "Zalgo is going to, oh no," he panicked as he realized what Zalgo was capable of doing.
"Y/N!" Zen screamed at the top of his lungs, not caring if the town heard him. "I'm sorry! I promise I'll come back for you!" He got on his knees and sobbed. "I promise!"
As my vision returned, I was completely shocked at what I saw but relieved that Zen had stopped him.
"Zen," I whispered. "This changes everything."
"You won't fight him anymore?" He asked with a hint of hope.
I shook my head. "I couldn't hurt Zalgo because I believed he had abused me. Now I think I'll be able to kill him without hesitating."
"Y/N," he breathed deeply. "No, let it go."
"No Zen, Zalgo has caused enough pain for both of us. I'm ending him even if it means I die alongside him."
"Y/N," he breathed out. "I admire your motivation, but think about the risks here. I won't get to see you any more if you die."
"I'm sorry Zen," I whispered as I hugged him. His chin was digging into my shoulder. "I'm going to kill him as revenge for what he did to both of us. Once I finally do that, I'll leave the mansion and escape with you."
"You'll do that?"
Although I couldn't see him, I knew he was happy.
"Of course. I might bring Sally but one thing is for certain, I'm leaving Slenderman. I don't care if it means I'm a traitor but I had enough of his lies."
We pulled back and I finally noticed that he was crying.
"You better kill Zalgo and come out alive then because I'll be here waiting for you."
I softly smiled at him. "Trust me, now I have more motivation to kill him."
(...)
I missed out on lunch seeing as I was busy with Zen. By the time I returned, the pastas were training in the backyard. I spent the remainder of the afternoon training by myself in the training room without any interruptions.
Before I knew it, supper was finally here. I was about to skip it, but I soon remembered what Zen had told me. Immortality didn't work in the under realm, anyone can die not only me. There was a chance one or more of them wouldn't return with us and I would regret not spending our final dinner together before I leave.
I heard chatter coming from the dining room but as soon as I entered, everything became quiet besides the sound of my footsteps echoing the room. Slenderman had yet to arrive.
Once I sat down, their chatter continued. I blocked out their conversations as I recalled what Zen had shown me as I looked at the Slender brothers. He had saved me while the others misunderstood his intentions. I couldn't help but think if I hadn't screamed that night, maybe things could have been different. Zen could have taken me away from this hell hole and Zalgo wouldn't be my problem. If things went that way, then I wouldn't have met the creepypastas. I couldn't say that I regret it.
Slenderman appeared with our dinner and was passing them around when Ben spoke.
"You know, this is our last supper before the battle."
Jeff scoffed, "What are we? Jesus and his disciples?"
I rolled my eyes as I picked my utensil and started eating.
"I would like to say something if you don't mind." Slenderman stood up as our focus was on him. I kept on chewing on my food.
"No matter what happens tomorrow, I want you all to know it was an honor to meet you all. I'm proud of all of you. You were able to improve on your abilities during these months."
