"oh come on," you huffed out and sat back in the chair. the computer screen showed that your character was dead after being killed by another player in a game.

you picked up your water bottle that was sitting on the floor next to your backpack and untwisted the top off. you drank some water and twisted the top back on before returning the bottle to the dark flooring.

you looked around the room, noticing that there were only a few people left in the video game lounge since it was already pretty late for a weekday.

"damn," you turned your head and saw a guy sitting at the cubicle next to yours. he was playing the same game as you. he noticed you looking at him and turned his head to look at you, "hey," he greeted, nodding his head once.

"you shouldn't use that weapon. it's not too good," you said, staring at his setup that was on the screen.

he shrugged his shoulders, "just trying it out. haven't played in a bit." he looked at your computer monitor, still on the same screen from earlier. "you play?"

"yea, but i don't think i'm that good," you said to him. "wanna play in the same lobby?" you asked.

he smiled, "sure. send me a friend request and i'll add you into my lobby," he said and adjusted the chair.

"what's your screen name?" you asked and popped up the screen to send a friend request.

"here, i'll type it in," he said and scooted over to you. he typed his screen name and sent the request before moving back to in front of his monitor. "hey, what's your name?" he asked you.

"it's y/n."

"i'm jeno."

you two started playing together once he added you and played a few matches together.

"damn it," you muttered as you died again. "i'm out."

"someone's camping. that's so annoying," jeno said. you scooted over to watch his screen.

"on the balcony," you spoke, noticing a loot crate on a balcony that was near where jeno's character was.

"oh, thanks," he said and went to the crate. he opened it and found a better weapon, swapping it with his current weapon. "nice. let's go," he said and started hunting down other players.

you watched him play until your team eventually won. both of you high-fived each other.

"wanna play another round?" he asked.

you looked at the time, "nah. i need to go and eat something. i have to go home and sleep, too. got work in the morning," you mentioned and logged out of your account, shutting down the monitor as well.

"hey, how about we get a bite to eat together? we can go to the convenience store near by," jeno suggested.

you stood up, grabbing your backpack. "sure, works with me," you smiled at him.

jeno quickly logged out of the computer before you two left the cafe together.

"so, when do i get to see you here again?" jeno asked you as you two walked.

"guess you'll know when you see me online," you replied with a smile.

he smiled back at you, "perfect."
