"walk safe!" you said to your friends as they walked away.

you grabbed your bike and got on it. you started to bike out of the school grounds but all of a sudden, the chain broke and you had to stop yourself.

"you have got to be kidding me..." you muttered and got off your your bike. the chain was broken and you realized that you would need a new chain for your bike.

you sighed and put the broken chain into the small basket that was attacked to your handlebars. you walked off of the school grounds and started walking home.

"hey y/n!" you turned around and saw your friend, chenle, run up to you.

"hey," you waved and continued walking when he caught up to you. "don't you have rehearsal today?" you asked him.

he shook his head, "nah, yesterday i did. i have today and tomorrow off," he answered. "what happened to your bike?" he asked.

"the chain broke," you answered with a huff.

"oh, that sucks," chenle replied and looked down at your bike. "want me to run to the store with you so you can get stuff to repair it?" he asked.

"no, it's okay. there's a bike shop near a cafè i go to so i'll bring it there," you said to him. "are you going home?"

he shrugged his shoulders, "eh, i'll be bored if i go home. can i come with you?" he asked.

both of you stopped at a crosswalk, "yea, that's fine with me. i have an essay to work on though."

"i can work on something too, i just really don't want to go home," he said and the light changed. "come on."

you two crossed the walk and continued walking towards the bike shop. after a few minutes of walking, you reached the bike shop and chenle held the door open as you walked inside with your bike.

"hello, what can i help you with?" a worker came up to you and chenle.

"i was wondering if my bike chain could be fixed? it snapped when i was trying to leave school," you requested and took the broken chain out of the small basket attached to your bike. you noticed the chenle had walked away from you and looked at him for a second.

"of course, i can get it done right away," the worker said with a smile. "it shouldn't take to long but feel free to stay here or come back later. we close at seven tonight."

"okay! thank you so much!" you said and bowed. the worker took your bike into the back of the store. you looked around and saw chenle looking at bikes. you walked up to him and poked his arm.

he looked at you, "is it getting fixed?"

you nodded, "yea. i think i'll just wait here for it. you could go to the cafè if you want."

"nah, i'll wait here with you. besides, i might buy a bike," he mentioned and both of you laughed.

"well, it's a great way to get to school without having to pay for the bus," you said to him.

"i really might get one. i'm definitely considering it right now," chenle responded.

after some time, your bike was fixed and you paid for the next chain. meanwhile, chenle was too busy deciding whether or not to buy a bike for himself.

"if you're gonna keep looking at bikes, then i'm leaving you here by yourself and go buy a slice of cake," you said to him and chenle turned around to face you.

"cake? i want cake," he spoke and you laughed.

"a bike or a cake? which one do you really want?" you asked him and you two walked out of the store.

"mmm...what i really want is your phone number," chenle said as you two walked down the sidewalk.

you stopped in your tracks, "excuse me?"

"what i really want is your phone number," he repeated and put his hands in his pockets.

you could feel the temperature in your body rise as you stood there in disbelief. "there is no way you want my phone number," you said to him.

"well, you would be wrong. i do want your phone number," he said to you.

"why?"

he started blushing, "cause...cause i've liked you since we worked on that science lab together..."

"science lab?" you repeated and thought for a second. "you've liked me since last year?!" you exclaimed.

"will you pipe down a bit?" he asked and pulled you into a small corridor that was in between two stores. "geez, you're trying to tell everyone on this street that i like you..." he slightly pouted.

"i-i'm sorry," you apologized. "i've never had someone confess to me before."

"people are definitely missing out, you are so pretty," he said to you. "want to go to the cafè now?" he asked.

you grinned, "okay."
