Narrative:
A week later, on a beautiful Monday, Dona was being driven to the head company of the Kurosawa Conglomerate for a meeting called by the board. And fortunately, the CEO himself, as well as the governor, would both be present.
She made it on time and literally all heads turned when she first walked into the company building. She was then escorted upstairs to the conference room by one of the employees after having shown that she had come for the meeting as a major shareholder of the group. When they arrived the conference room, all nine board members were already there and their heads turned when they saw a foreigner walk in. She was big, elegant and beautiful but most surprisingly, she was dark skinned. They immediately began to fidget amongst themselves in wonder. She greeted them in fluent Japanese, surprising them even more.
"I am Dona Mondello, a major shareholder," she introduced herself.
The moment she mentioned she was the newest shareholder, the members immediately stood to bow in respect and welcome her. She was then led to a seat at the head of the table. Shortly after, the CEO and governor walked into the conference room. they were respectfully greeted by everyone.
Dona and the CEO, a man in his late 40's, had already met the previous week after she had bought stocks and shares in his companies. It had been a formality to interview her and discuss the reasons why she had suddenly decided to become a shareholder in his company. Dona had been able to convince him that she simply was a businesswoman in search of ways to multiply her income, and what better way to multiply her income than investing in one of the country's most successful conglomerates? And one that was presently rising in economic status. Of course with this explanation alone, she was fully welcomed on board by Yuto Kurosawa who had done a quick background check on her and had discovered that she was indeed a wealthy business owner in Osaka and probably abroad in her home country as well.
"Miss Mondello, welcome," Yuto greeted her when he got to her side of the table.
"Thank you very much, sir,"
The governor on the other hand, who looked no younger that 65, had never met Dona and just like the old men of his generation that she had met so far, he stared a lot with a creepy smile.
"Your excellency, this is the new shareholder and investor I spoke of. Miss Dona Mondello. She is Italian and has a successful business here in Osaka." Yuto introduced her to the governor. "Mrs. Mondello, this is Governor Ida Shunsuke."
