"Sorry, I just kept hearing the pastas calling you Slender so I thought-"

"It doesn't apply to you, Y/N, but continue."

"We're immortal remember?"

"If you died, Masky would have replaced you and I would be trained to become a proxy like you!"

"We both decided not to go to war anytime soon. We won't have a problem with him as long as he won't be foolish enough to take a step in my forest or my mansion."

"Your memories were erased after I left. That's why you don't remember anything before you turned seven."

"Go ahead and tell our dear Slenderman. I'm sure he'll be pleased to know you're associating with his formal proxy."

"If I were to kill you, your soul becomes mine! I can revive you and mark you just so you can follow my orders. If you don't willingly follow them, I can force you to!"

"Do you remember when you woke up the Slender brothers and told them about your nightmares? Do you remember your punishment?"

"If I were you I would keep your voice down. You don't want anyone else to get hurt, now do you?"

"I saw glimpses of the future, Y/N and you're in mine. After the battle, that ends wrong for the pastas might I add. You become mine. I saw you following my commands and guess what? We even die together."

"Next time you see me, we will have the battle the following day. I hope you're ready to become my proxy soon."

A loud thump was heard as I finally dropped the punching bag down. I was panting as I stared at it before I realized what I had done. I dropped onto my knees as I pulled my hair back in frustration.

"I'm going insane," I whispered with my eyes closed.

I wanted everything to be finally over. I wanted Zalgo dead but I couldn't go and find him or else I would be breaking the peace treaty. It has been a torture to me to live each day knowing that the next time I saw Zalgo would be the day before we go to war. If what he said was true about me becoming his on the day of the battle, then it would be a day that I would dread. It didn't help to know that the pastas were fooling around and at any given moment, Zalgo will appear to announce the battle.

I gulped before getting up to go to my room. There, I took a warm shower to attempt to calm my nerves but failed. All I thought was about Zalgo and the battle. After I showered, I put on comfortable clothes and blow-dried my hair.

I could no longer find peace in training which resulted in me relying on someone. As soon as I was walking down the hallway, I spotted Ben going out of his room with a console in his hand. Now that I thought about it, I haven't seen nor heard anyone since breakfast.

I caught him looking at my clothes before he spoke, "I'm guessing you're not gonna get inside the pool?"

I tiled my head to the side in confusion before realization hit me.

"They're using the indoor pool, aren't they?"

I had forgotten that existed in the mansion seeing as Slenderman had never used it.

"Yeah, everyone is there including Sally and the Slenderbrothers. I don't know about Slenderman though."

I sighed before I started going downstairs with Ben behind me. "I gotta see this," I muttered. I couldn't believe Slenderman had allowed it.

"If you don't want to get inside I just want to let you know that it's fine. I'm not going inside either because, uh, personal reasons."

"I know you're afraid of water due to your past Ben. You don't have to hide that from me." I assured him as we got off the stairs and made a left to the hallway.
