"Think about it, why would Slenderman want us to kill them right now instead of a few hours. Something doesn't sit right."

"Only o-one way to f-find out." Toby then got ahead of me as he slowly went upstairs.

"Toby!" I whispered before following him. Masky and Hoodie were near the stairs in case if something happened. Both Toby and I were on the sides of the door as he slowly began to twist the doorknob.

I still had a bad feeling about this mission. The timing was weird seeing as it didn't make any sense and the lights were off even though it was already dark.

Slenderman's words then echoed through my head.

"You're also clever which is why I know you'll figure out why I want this mission to take place earlier than usual."

I furrowed my eyebrows as I thought what he meant.

Usually, these types of missions take place during night time so we aren't seen and the victims are usually sleeping. Maybe they were currently napping or maybe they aren't here. Slenderman had also called me clever to figure out why he picked the time. He may have purposely lied or skipped a detail if...no...

It was a test.

I widened my eyes as I realized what Slenderman had meant. By the time I realized it, Toby had already opened the door. I immediately pushed him away from the entrance, but a gunshot was heard and I felt an excruciating pain in my stomach.

"Y/N!" Both Masky and Hoodie yelled as they got upstairs and ran towards the intruder.

I flipped my body around and applied pressure on the wound. I squeezed my eyes in pain.

"Y-Y/N!" Toby panicked at the sight of crimson blood. He got on his knees and brought my head to lay on him.

"It's fine," I grunted. "Help the other proxies-"

Another gunshot was heard which made me open my eyes.

For a few seconds, I was worried if the proxies got shot, but then remembered they were immortal. I looked down at my stomach and surely enough, I was losing a lot of blood.

"Y-you're n-not i-i-immortal," Toby cried.

I couldn't lie to them anymore since Zen was nowhere here plus he couldn't risk exposing himself to the others.

"There's a medical kit inside," I assured him. "If you kill the intruder we can go inside and treat the wound."

Footsteps were heard from the inside. Whoever was alive was coming towards us. I glared at the doorway as I brought my dagger out with my other hand. If the intruder was going to come out, I could throw the dagger at him.

I dropped my dagger as soon as I saw the familiar white and black mask.

"He's dead, Hoodie is going to exterminate the body but Y/N what the fuck are we going to do with you!"

"S-she s-s-said there's a-a me-medical kit in-inside," Toby's ticks were getting worse.

"S-Someone bring me inside while the other go grab the kit in the bathroom," I groaned in pain.

"M-Masky g-grab t-the-"

Masky shook his head as he got down to carry me. "Are you fucking kidding me? You're going to drop her, you idiot. You grab it."

As Masky picked me up in his arms, the pain got worse. Masky noticed my expression and mumbled a sorry as he carried me inside the cabin.

He softly laid my body on the black couch. Hoodie came out of the bedroom with the body of the intruder. He looked like he was in his thirties and had dirty blonde hair. Hoodie glanced at me before exiting the cabin.
