Introducing You...

(A/N: Joking! Who kisses posters?!... *awkward laugh*)

You practically run out of the door, grabbing your shoes and coat on the way. You sling your bag into the boot of your silver car, grunting slightly with the weight of it. Your mum also gets into her car.

The only reason your mum's coming with you is to show you where your new house is - you're pretty bad with directions, and you don't really trust the Sat Nav's judgement.

The house you're going to is owned by a seemingly nice landlord, so you just have to pay rent every month to live there. The photos on the website were promising, with everything looking in extremely good condition.

It's really, really cheap, too, for accommodation in London. Living in London costs a lot of money. This one is considerably less than the average price, which made it appealing.

You're moving to London for a few reasons: to get as far away from your mum as you can; to be close to lots of businesses and suchlike; and... well... to be close to Dan and Phil.

Sure, it sounds creepy, but you manage to convince yourself it's perfectly normal. Lots of people want to live near to Dan and Phil... right?

*le few hours later*

Your mum suddenly pulls over onto the footpath, turning her engine off and getting out of her car. You follow her lead, parking your car behind her.

This place must be it!

You feel a rush of excitement at the thought of being independent, which soon dwindles rapidly as you open the car door and look up at the grey, crumbling building in front of you.

This is where you're living...?

"Isn't it lovely!" your mum chirps, trying to cheer you up. "It's a nice building, just needs a few coats of paint, hmm?"

"Yeahhhh..." you mumble, not convinced. You can't believe what you've just got yourself into. The house looked extremely different on the website. Is this the same house?

It's either this or waiting another couple of months to find another place to live, you reassure yourself firmly. It's not that bad... it could be a lot worse.

The grubby blinds at the window part and an old man's face appears. He narrows his eyes at you and your mum, then closes the blinds again.

I was right, it's worse, you think.

All of a sudden, the ancient looking wooden door creaks open. The man from the window stands there, with a can of beer in his hand. He looks around fifty years old and has a very grumpy expression.

"Whaddya want?" he demands, jabbing his finger in the direction of you and your mum. "These spaces are reserved for residents only! Are you idiots?!"

You and your mum make worried eye contact. You can feel the man's harsh glare on you.

You decide to speak up, seeing as your mum isn't going to. "Uh, sorry for disturbing you, sir, but I'm the new person coming to live here," you explain to him briefly.

You look at the door number sign and then at your mum. She nods, confirming that this is the right place. Oh god.

The man grunts, and you can't help but associate the sound with a pig. "Oh yeah," he says, his voice gravelly. "Come inside then. Leave your mum."

He walks inside, leaving you two alone. You wonder what to say. You certainly regret your decision to come here, but you wouldn't tell her that. She'd say "Told you so," or something like that, which you can't stand.

You turn to her slowly. "I guess this is goodbye then," you say, shrugging and looking down at your shoes.

You hear the slam of a car door and then the engine starting. You look up in alarm to see your mother in her car, smiling cheerily at you.

"Keep in touch! Bye!" she says quickly, not giving you a chance to reply before she waves and drives off.

Well, she's eager to leave.

You sigh, looking longingly across the road, where the apartments look a lot more well kept and pretty.

A familiar face at one of the windows looking at you catches you by surprise. Wait... you've seen that face before. You blink in disbelief, then the face is gone.

You must have just hallucinated. You look at the window for a few more seconds to see if the face comes back, but it doesn't. Huh.

The old man appears at the doorway again, crossing his arms against his vest shrouded belly.

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up!" he grumbles.
