"Whoa you got your ass beat Masky," I heard Ben laugh behind me. I was about to walk around him, but he grabbed my wrist.
I flinched as I remembered Derek's touch. For a split second, I swore I saw him. This caused me to kick Ben in the back so that my wrist was released. I kept a calm composure though.
A loud thump was heard as he fell to the ground. He groaned, "Geez, I came here to apologize and announce that Slender and the others are waiting for us."
I huffed before walking away.
(...)
"I gathered you all here to announce several things as well for us to train."
Currently, Slenderman and I were standing next to each other while the pastas and proxies were seated on the grass. His brothers and Sally were excluded because they wouldn't fight in the battle if it were to arise. I was glad Sally wasn't here or else the poor girl would be traumatized from listening about Zalgo.
The sky was cloudy which gave us an advantage in training outdoors. The weather was ideal seeing as it wasn't warm nor cold.
"As you may all know, my proxies have morning patrol every morning. I made a few modifications for our safety. We cannot kill humans in the forest unless they are too close to the mansion and this applies to everyone. The number of missing humans in the forest is greatly increasing and we cannot afford authorities in the mansion. I will require you all to be on the lookout for any signs of humans or Zalgo, but do not engage unless it's necessary. "
"Why can't the proxies just do it?" Jeff groaned.
I rolled my eyes. "What the hell are you doing during the afternoon?"
"Nothing."
I scoffed at his answer.
"My proxies will be assigned with other missions. Y/N does have a point, you pastas are usually locked inside your rooms. This will only take place for a limited time whatsoever. I'm trying to master the ability to feel presences from miles away whether it's Zalgo or humans. You are already marked with my mark therefore I can feel your presence."
This was bad. If Slenderman mastered the ability then he would be able to locate Zen. This made me question of his shelter. If he was located in the forest, Slenderman would be able to detect him.
"If Zalgo does not break the treaty, then no battle shall occur. I'd preferably take the peace course. If a worst-case scenario were to befall, we would have to battle him which brings us here." He sighed before continuing, "I do not know what new ability he mastered, but I can assure you he's stronger than last time I fought him. He gets stronger with each passing day which worries me."
"Why can't we battle him right now?" L.J questioned.
"I fear his power greatly surpasses ours. My last battle with Zalgo wasn't a flattering one and Y/N can agree." Slenderman turned around to look at me. I nodded my head as I remembered every second of it.
Both creatures were exhausted as they fought. The sky was red while the trees around the mansion were on fire. They had been at each other throats for half an hour yet there was still no sign of a winner. Slenderman's clothes had holes that revealed cuts and burns. His wounds were slowly healing due to the fire around him. Zalgo had summoned a ring of fire with him and Slenderman inside. The Slenderbrothers and the almost eight year old girl were outside of it, unable to do anything. They couldn't teleport inside due to a spell that Zalgo had cast.
The ring of fire begun to fade as Zalgo chuckled. Both of them were trying to catch their breaths, but Zalgo didn't seem to mind.
"I guess we'll continue this fight in a decade. I hope you know that I will be pondering about my victory." He took a glimpse at the crying seven-year-old before turning his gaze back to his opponent. "I can assure you my victory will happen and when it does, I'll be sure to painfully remind you every day assuming you're still alive."
