Chapter Eighteen: Tension and Love

Shelbys POV

I pull my pants on as I look at Jania lovingly, I can't wipe the smile off my face as I look at her straightened out her clothes and look up at me with a smirk

"What are you smiling about" Jania says as she gets up and stands in front of me

"Just thinking about how much I love you" I say causing Jania's face to change, I go to apologize but she beats me to it

"Just hold off in that for a bit, I wanna truly mean it when I say it back" She says, I smile and nod reassuringly and she gives me a peck and takes my had as we head over to the laptop and upload the song.....of course we cut out the moaning noises at the end

Jania and I walk back out to the conference room to see Andre there finally, he looks freaked out and spastic but I choose to ignore it

We walk in and start to listen in to what my father is saying, I notice him and Jamal are arguing about his coming out and how the artist will leave unless we bribe them with money and hookers along with how our father couldn't keep it in his pants.......ok ow that hurt

"Dad if we do that they will snake us and plus you have two homosexual artist on the label and connected to you so it's not like they will accept it" I say in Jamal's defense but give him a look

"Yea and I don't want bigots in my company so they can go to hell with that" Jamal says causing me to look at him, fuck he mean HIS company

"Huh, yo company" My father says causing Jamal to just brush him off as he realizes what he just said

My father looks at him for a second till Hakeem hands him a phone and he starts talking to Travy

I sit there and start drawing out plans and going over them with everyone at the table, the executives seem to like what I have to say but I soon look up at Jamal who has an unreadable face, he soon looks back down at his papers

I look over to Jania as she works with some of the others and I can't help but marvel at her jaw she works, the concentration and focus she has always amazes me, that's why I love her but I'm happy she told me she's not ready for that yet

As I work I see a text from an unknown number, I look at the text as I read it and scrunch my face

I wanna meet you, Creedmoor needs more artist like you, think about it"

I clench my jaw at this and abruptly stand up causing everyone to look at me, I say nothing and hand my phone to my father who shares the same face as me soon after

"Alright that's it, we are playing dirty" Luscious says as he blocks the number and hands me back my phone, I sit down and get back to work but not before looking at Jania who has a worried face, I give her a reassuring look and get back to my papers and data

I lay in my bed as Luscious sent me home to track the new song but unfortunately Jania couldn't come with me since my father told her he had some business to take care of with her

I look on the charts and I smile as the song and climbing up and the views on YouTube are going insane, suddenly I hear the doorbell ring

I put my iPad down and head downstairs, I open the door to see Tiana standing there looking unsure, I roll my eyes and just look at her

"What do you want Tiana" I say bluntly

"I wanna talk.....about us" she says causing me to laugh

"There is no us, you cheated and I'm not taking you back" I say slightly angrily as I go to close the door but she blocks it with her foot

"Please just give me chance, I wanna talk" Titans says as she pushes the door open more

I sigh and just leave the door open and walk away from it and into the living room and sit on the Coach as she locks the door and comes and sits next to me

"Ok talk" I say plainly as she sighs and looks at me

"Ok look Shelby, I'm sorry for hurting you, I didn't know what to do and I've never had a girlfriend before so it was all new to me, then your brother was trying so hard to get with me" Tiana starts but I just scoff at her

"Really, you dating me a girl for the first time made you cheat on my twice" I say cause her to go silent

"Wow, that'd crazy and not your back because I've moved on and I'm happy" I say

"No but it does hurt a little that you moved on so quickly" She says causing me to laugh

"So was I supposed to stay stuck on you" I say flabbergasted

"Come on Shelby be real, you were build an attraction to Jania before we broke up, don't lie" Tiana says seriously causing me to go silent

"Thought so" she says with and attitude

"That still doesn't excuse you cheating on me with my brother, you kissed me in my mouth after y'all fucked and that was disrespectful so don't try and turn this around on me because I never did anything physically with Jania until we broke up" I say causing her face to fall

" so are we done here" I say causing her to look at me

"No, there's more, I heard that your dad wants to sign Jania to Empire, it seems like he has since y'all did that duet together" She says bitterly but I ignore her

"That's great, Jania has an amazing voice and she deserves it" I say excitedly as I go to text her but Tiana takes my phone

"Shelby you gotta be careful" She says causing me to snatch my phone and text Jania about this, she texts me back excitedly causing me to smile

"Shelby I'm serious, fame changes people, take it from me, I was a normal girl who would never do anything to hurt anyone but I hurt you after I started getting successful" Tiana says clung me to look at her

"Jania isn't like you, she's genuine and wouldn't turn on me" I say causing Tiana to scoff and get up And go to the door

"That's what you used to say about me, when she breaks your heart and starts keeping secrets, you know where to find me" Tiana says and with that she leaves

I ignore her but the thought in he back if my head is saying to pay attention, but I soon forget it as fast as it entered my head, I smile as Jania starts talking bait song ideas and she gushes about it

She wouldn't change up on me....right?

A/n oh shit, well things are starting to become tense, I'm happy I wrote today but yea
