"How does Zalgo look again?" Hoodie asked me.
"He's a demon with seven mouths around his body. Trust me, you'll know it's him. If you encounter him, don't attack. Try to go back to the mansion or if you're in trouble, text or calls us. We cannot defeat Zalgo on our own."
"I'm surprised you haven't insulted us," Masky muttered.
I glared at him for a few seconds. "Remember to come back in an hour. If you're arriving late, give us a heads up so we don't go searching for you. Any more questions?"
The three proxies shook their heads.
"Very well then. Let us begin." I started walking in front of the mansion while Masky took the South. Hoodie went East while Toby went West.
I kept my eyes peeled for any signs of an intruder or worse, Zalgo.
I walked for around thirty minutes, but surprisingly I didn't see anyone. The forest was definitely quiet, too quiet.
All of a sudden, I felt a presence right behind me. I furrowed my eyes as I got my dagger out of my pocket and immediately pointed it behind.
Zen raised his hands in surrender. I sighed before placing my dagger away. I felt relieved that it wasn't Zalgo who was behind me.
"Whoa chill! It's just me."
I rolled my eyes. "You can't creep on me like that. Next time who knows, I might stab you."
He chuckled at my response. "I'm immortal, remember? I doubt a stab will kill me."
Instead of replying, I just walked away. "You need to be careful around the forest. Zalgo and Slenderman agreed to not trespass on each other's properties. If a Creepypasta were to spot you, they'll believe you're Zalgo in disguise and then we'll have to fight him."
I heard him walk behind me. I guess he was processing what I told him since he was quiet for a few seconds.
"I thought Slenderman would have killed him immediately after his awakening. Why is he delaying the fight?" He asked.
I stopped walking before facing him. I ignored his question. I had to ask him about my past. I was curious if his answer would match Slenderman's.
"I recall you stated you worked for Slenderman before my birth. Were you still working for him when I arrived?"
He furrowed his eyebrows as he looked at me straight in the eyes. "Well obviously, I mean how else could you have arrived?"
I tiled my head at his response. "So you're saying I arrived at the mansion because of you?"
He looked at me like I was crazy before he shut his eyes and sighed. "Let me guess, Slenderman didn't tell you the truth." He placed his hand on his forehead before he faked a laugh. "I mean if you didn't know about me of course he would have lied about your backstory."
I looked at him with a serious expression. Again, I felt like I was placing too much trust in him. If I trust him, he could be lying without me knowing.
"Slenderman had always told me my parents left me in the forest to die. He was about to kill me but he decided to pick me up and trained me to work for him. Basically, I'm repaying him for not killing me." I explained.
He opened his eyes before shaking his head. "Y/N, you don't owe him anything. I was the one that took you to the mansion."
I stood there with my mouth agape. I had a million questions to ask but I didn't know what to ask first.
"I can show you my memories if you let me."
He reached out his hand for me to grab. I hesitated before putting my hand on it. Immediately my vision was all white but slowly it became foggy.
