I'll Break And Break Again

Some were female while the rest male, all of them different ages, races and sizes, and all of them looked at her with a bloodlust she had never seen before.

Wait what was going on? Were these people here to watch or something? There were so many of them. Why did they all look so scary? I don't like this..

Her fear was clearly evident on her face as Riku soaked it in with pure amusement, the man gesturing to the scary strangers immediately. "What's wrong Takami, I'm just giving you what you asked for. You want to be stronger, right? Then show me."

The leader then lowered his voice an extra two octaves before staring straight at the innocent girl and snapping his fingers once more, clear dark intent in every word. "Begin."

Then all at once, everyone in and around her seemed to spring to life, all thirty bodies racing towards her with quirks drawn as Hikari widened his eyes in pure terror. They were going to attack her, why?! What did she ever do to them?!

Feeling her heart beat into her chest, the girl quickly felt her legs running away from the scene as heavy footsteps followed her every move.

Her breathing turned heavy as she spoke with absolute confusion. "W-What, what's happening? I don't understand."

Riku remained silent though, watching as the scared little girl ran for her life with great pleasure, her eyes wild as the adrenaline crushed her innocent heart with every second.

Just then, Hikari heard something zoom past her only to feel extreme pain in her forearm, looking over only to find a piece of jagged sharp stone piercing right through her skin.

Blood poured across her arm as she felt herself scream out in agony, holding the object before feeling her body being thrown across the room by an invisible force and slamming her into the nearest wall next to her.

Gasping out a choked breath, Hikari slid to the ground, her vision blurry as she just barely registered a fist coming at her a moment later only to quickly squeak and dodge underneath it, seemingly just missing the deadly hit.

She didn't understand what was happening, forcing her dizzy mind to focus on the situation at hand before a metal chain wrapped around her ankle a second later, pulling her backwards as her body scraped against the floor in order to leave a burn.

Screaming once again, Hikari clawed her fingers into the ground with no avail before someone else seemingly kicked her in her ribs with as much focus as possible, the girl hearing the sickly sound of something snapping in the process.

She held the area in question before seemingly trying to cover her face with her other hand as hot painful tears began to flood her vision. "S-Stop it, please stop it. I don't want this, I don't understand.."

The other members of the gang didn't seem to care about her outbursts though as Hikari felt her skin light up on fire as her insides started to burn her from the inside out from the effect of another unknown quirk in the area.

It was just like back then, when those commission members ripped out her wings and left her for dead, it was just like her childhood and like when those orphanage kids used to bully her and pretend she was a villain.

How they would punish her, how they would make her less like nothing, useless and weak, pathetic and unworthy. Everything came back full force as Hikari tried to ball herself into her body in order to stop the pain.

She wanted it to stop, why wouldn't they just stop?!

Although that's when Riku's voice broke through her internal spiral, his tone as chilling and plain as it always was. "You want it to stop? Then stop it yourself. That's the only way it will stop."
