Opperation: Reformation!

Feeling his wings give an irritated flap, he replied roughly. "I...I..I know you're not. It doesn't matter. The fact is that Dabi isn't good enough for you and he never will be. Open your eyes sis, I know you're smarter than this!"

Although his words did nothing for the girl as Hawks heard her scoff in response at the very textbook words he was spewing. "Wow, you almost sound like a real brother with that one. I'm touched, really."

The fact that Hikari clearly didn't believe him hurt Hawks internally. He really was trying to look out for her, and she was acting like all of his words meant nothing. Did she really believe that? Did she really think he didn't care about her hooking up with a literal psychopath?

Well, she'd be wrong about that one.

"Hika-chan please, he's not what you think he is..."

The girl only lowered her eyes at that thought, a small bitter smile on her face before shutting the refrigerator door and turning her full body towards the man.

She supposed they were going to have this conversation after all, given what her brother was blindly assuming.

"Tell me brother, what do you think my relationship with Dabi is?"

Pausing slightly, Hawks felt himself blink once before turning his head in confusion. What was she saying? It was already pretty obvious what those two were. "What does that even mean? What else could it be, you're dating, aren't you?"

Almost expecting this, Hikari then lifted her finger up to his face before practically snorting at his accusation. "It's comedic how wrong you are, in every single way.."

Still not understanding, the bird took a step closer. What was he missing, cause it seemed to him like those two were clearly involved. "But Toga called you his girlfriend, didn't she?"

Groaning at the memory, Hikari rolled her eyes once more before waving the idea away, almost like she didn't want to think of it.

She couldn't really blame the girl given that she didn't tell Toga her real name or even her villain name. Still, the term couldn't help but feel slightly bitter of her tongue.

"Ugh, don't remind me. It's not like that. That title is just something that let's me roam around far more easily. Can't have people finding out I'm actually Valkyrie, now can I? It would ruin the dark and scary brand I've built up.

Although Hikari couldn't deny that there was another motive behind the decision, knowing that she didn't want any commission agents or the president realizing who she was. That's mainly why she kept her wings a secret as well.

Yet her brother still couldn't help but be utterly in the dark about everything. Wait, if what Hikari was saying was true, it still didn't explain the way that villain and her interacted, the way they treated each other.

Because it was no secret that those two had something between them, he just couldn't point out what. They said they knew each other for a while, was it really just that? Hawks wasn't sure.

Yet that didn't quell the hatred in his stomach from the events he saw an hour ago. "B-But, if you aren't...together...if that's true then explain what I just saw you guys doing. You know Dabi only did those vile things to you because he was trying to piss me off right? He used you like a goddamn object, right in front of my face!!"

He expected her eyes to light up with realization at that, to finally see what that disgusting villain was doing to her, to realize that she meant nothing to him and that she shouldn't allow those kinds of things.

However, his sister only laughed at his protective nature, causing Hawks to take another serious step forward, annoyance in his tone. "What, what are you laughing about?! This is serious. I'm trying to make you understand what's happening here. He doesn't care about you..not like you think...."
