We walked back to the Covert base. I saw burnt bodies everywhere; I was looking for my dad. I'd be able to find him once I found his wedding ring but I hadn't seen it yet. Maybe he got away
"Look at this" Courtney said pointing at something, I walked over and saw it. It was a sword
"Does that mean that Savages were here?" Abby asked as we stood around it
"Probably" I said as I stood up, going toward the woods
"You stay here with them. Nick and I will look around" Nate said, sighing I went back to my friends
"Do you think they escaped?" Abby asked
"I don't know. Maybe" I replied as I started walking toward the door of the underground base. I opened it
"What's in there?" Courtney asked as she walked over to me
"Nothing. But I'm gonna take a look inside. You guys should come" I said as I started going down the stairs, I heard them behind me. The hallways were empty. We were searching everywhere, until we came across the mess hall. There was a bunch of kids, well, teenagers, some of them were our age and some of them were younger but they were still here. All of a sudden, I saw red smoke coming in
"Cover your faces!" I yelled, putting my arm around my face, I couldn't see anything but eventually everything went black
