I ran back to Covert, Annabeth, Courtney and Abby were nowhere in sight. I saw the bunker door open and went down the steps. Nick and I had gotten separated when we heard the noise. I cautiously walked toward the Main Hall with my gun raised. There wasn't anybody here, I sat down on the floor. Leaning my head back against the wall and closing my eyes. I always did something that screwed everything up. I heard a noise and opened my eyes, lifting my head up, I saw two kids under a table. They must have been eleven, maybe twelve. One was a boy with bright blue eyes and the other was a girl with green eyes. They looked like they were afraid.
"Hey" I said, I didn't want them to be afraid of me, but they were
"It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you" I said, I was trying to be gentle but it really wasn't my strong suit, it was actually more of Abby's strong suit. I watched as they crawled out from underneath, they were cautious but sat on the ground a few feet away from me
"What's your name?" The girl asked
"Nate" I said and she nodded
"I'm Allie and that's Jason" the girl said
"What happened here?" I asked them, they looked at each other solemnly
"A bunch of men in blue suits came, first, they shot Minister Parker, then told everyone in the room to be quiet, there was three missing. They disappeared for a while but none of us moved. My mom hid us in a vent, then three girls came, we passed out after something red was in the air, it looked like fog. We woke up and everyone was gone" Allie said
"How many?" I asked
"The Fraction that didn't leave with Mr. Rockwell" Jason answered
