You couldn't help but fidget as the hour to meet Korra grew closer. You weren't ready to meet Senna's daughter. You weren't ready to meet the Avatar that could easily send you to the healers for 'ruining' her parents marriage.
You hadn't ruined anything. Their marriage had simply been arranged and after years of being together with him for the sake of Korra, Senna finally had enough and divorced him to be with you. The two of you kept quiet about your relationship until a few months ago when Senna had sent a letter to Korra about the two of you.
A response didn't come until a month ago, letting Senna know that she was visiting. It didn't mentioned anything the divorce and that worried you. Ignoring something to talk about it in person never had to do with something good.
"You need to relax, love. Korra is a sweet girl. She'll love you."
"I don't know about love. I think she'll hate my guts and think that I'm the reason that the two of you broke up."
"I highly doubt that she'll believe that. You're just letting your thoughts get the best of you. Tonraq and I ended things in a civil manner because of Korra. Tonraq is still her father and I'm still her mother. The only difference is that we're not married."
You nod and let your head rest of her shoulder. Senna presses a kiss to the top of your head as she wraps an arm around your shoulder to pull you closer to her.
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see how she'll react."

"Korra, darling. You need to take a deep breath. I'm sure your mother's girlfriend will love you."
"You don't know that Asami. What if she hates me and breaks up with my mother because she can't stand me. She's my mothers childhood sweetheart! My mother will hate me if I'm the reason that they break up."
"And you're her daughter! Besides, I think you're worrying for nothing. In fact, I think you're not the only one panicking about this meeting."
Korra quickly raises her head to look at Asami in question.
"What do you mean that I'm not the only one panicking about this meeting? Who else would be panicking about it?"
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe (y/n). She might worry that you won't like her or that you'll blame her for your parents divorce."
"That's ridiculous. Why would she even think that? My mom is the sweetest so I'm sure that she's just as sweet. Plus the divorce wasn't her fault. It was an arranged marriage that neither of them wanted to do.....oh I see. I'm being ridiculous."
Asami gives her a smile and leans in to kiss her.
"That's okay. You have every right to worry but you'll soon see that you worried for nothing."

After hugging her daughter for the longest time, Senna and Korra separated as the two of you were introduced.
"Korra, this is (y/n), my girlfriend. (y/n), this is Korra, my daughter."
The two of you stare at each other, unsure of what to even say without making things awkward.
"Korra, it's nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot of great things about you. It's truly an honor."
You hold out your hand for her to shake but she just smiles and pulls you in for a hug.
"You're soon to be family and family always greets each other with a hug." She tells you before pulling away. "It's nice to finally meet you too, (y/n). I'm glad to see how happy you make my mom."

After introductions, you all headed back home for dinner. It was a little awkward at first as you and Korra were getting used to each other but soon the ice was broken and you all got along well.
For dessert, Senna and Asami left the two you alone to pick up a fresh cookies from a nearby bakery.
"As her only daughter, it's my responsibility to make sure that she doesn't get hurt. I wasn't here for her during her divorce but I will be here for her if you ever manage to break her heart. I'll take a blimp if it means arriving days earlier than a ship to make you pay if you hurt her. We won't have a problem if you just keep making her happy."
"O...of course. I love her and the last thing I want to do is hurt her."
She gives you a smile as she pats your back, a little too harsh.
"Good. I'm glad that we agree."
Senna and Asami soon arrive with the cookies to find you in the brink of passing out while Korra looked a little too innocent as she greeted them.
"Korra, what did you do to (y/n)?"
"Me? Nothing! We just had a little chat."
"Korra! I'm a grown woman. I don't need you to defend me."
"It's alright, Senna." You intervene, not wanting for them to fight. "Korra, just wants to make sure that you're happy. I don't blame her."
