Last One - Act 3, Scene 3

Ethan laughs

Joe: So did Demi come in the end?

Ethan: Yeah, she's over there with Adele.

Joe looks over to Adele and Demi and smiles. Demi is wearing a black dress that comes to just above her knees.

Joe: She looks beautiful.

Ethan: Someone looks happy to see her.

Joe: What? Pfft no, I just...haven't seen her in a while that's all. 

Ethan: Yeah, she's been away a lot with physio and everything. And then when she was here, you weren't.

Joe: Yeah, probably. I just forgot how beautiful she is.

Ethan starts grinning widely

Joe: What's up with that?

Ethan: I think you still like her.

Joe: What?

Ethan: I said, I think you still have feelings for her.

Joe: I dunno...maybe I do? Just keep your voice down.

Ethan: Yeah, ok ok lover boy.

Joe keeps glancing at Demi

Ethan: It is cute though. And you two made a good couple, even if you in particular are a pain in the ass at times.

Joe: Oi.

Ethan: True though.

Joe: I guess so. I'm gonna go get a drink, enjoy the dance dude.

Joe walks off

Adele: Joe keeps looking at you Dem.

Demi: Really? W-why?

Adele: Err, because you look stunning! Bet he still has feelings for you too.

Demi: No, I d-doubt it's that. He's p-probably with Kira again.

Adele: You never know with him though.

Demi: True, but w-why would he? W-we haven't s-spoken in ages.

Adele: He might miss you?

Demi: (Sarcastically) Sure he does.

Ethan comes back over to the groups table, limping slightly

Ethan: Hey babe, you wanna get some food?

Adele: Why are you limping?

Ethan: My knee just hurts a little that's all.

Adele: Sit down, I'll go get us something. Dem you want anything?

Demi: No, I'm f-fine thanks.

Adele walks off to get food

Ethan sits down at the table

Ethan: You alright Demi?

Demi: Yeah, b-bit lonely but have b-been worse. Isaac s-said he was gonna be here but he's ill so.

Demi smiles

Ethan: Hey can I ask you something personal?

Demi: S-sure?

Ethan: What happened with you and Beau? Adele told me but my memory is shit.
