My father was talking to Lincon. I was in the corner trying to contact Charmaine. "Chancellor on deck." A guard yelled. I opened my eyes. Pike walked in.

"each of you is guilty of the same crimes as Kane and Xania, and as such, you will share the same fate. Death." He said. I stood up. I walked over to Pike. Lincon had finished talking to him. "Kane, Lincon, Sinclair, Xania. As the leaders of the coup, you will pay for your crimes with your lives. Execution is set for dawn." Pike said.

"She was just following her father. She didn't know any better, sir." Bellamy said to Pike.

"I knew exactly what I was doing. I was trying to end a war that we started" I said. I spat at Pike. He glared at me then walked away. My father turned to me.

"You could have just gotten out of death. Now you share the same fate as us." My father said. He turned around and sat back down. I walked back into the corner and sat back down.

"Why would you do that?" Charmaine said. I opened my eyes. I was in the same room as before.

"I will gladly die alongside my father if it starts a war from inside the camp," I said.

"So, that's your play, huh?" She said. I looked at her.

"I've killed enough already-"

"And you will only kill more... There is no way to escape it. You were raised to kill... and you will go on killing." She said walking around me in circles.

"When does the killing end?" I asked.

"Never. Human beings are vicious creatures. Brought up only to bring each other back down." She said with a chuckle. "Since the beginning, everything has revolved around death. That big Jesus dude died on the cross for everyone's 'sins', if you believe in that shit." She said. I sighed.

"The time is coming. I don't have long till dawn." I said.

"You're not going to die, Xania. Not for a long time" She said shaking her head.

"And why should I believe you? How do I know this isn't just a way my brain is coping with the fact that I'm about to die without telling Clarke that I-... That I love her." I said shaking my head. She walked closer to me. She knelt down.

"I had someone on earth. He worked with me in the navy. I loved him so much. Then I bombed the government. They took me away. I never got to tell him how I felt. History isn't going to repeat itself. You will get out of this... And you are going to thrive." She said caressing my face. I thought about what she said.

"Wait... You bombed-"

"It's time!" Pike shouted. I opened my eyes. Guards walked in. I stood up. I lined up against the wall with my father and the others as they chained our feet and hands together.

We didn't get far until an interruption. "Sir you were right. Octavia Blake is here, and she's not alone." Someone said from the radio.

"On their knees!" Pike shouted as he turned around and pointed a gun at us. We all dropped to our knees. "Can you confirm a location?" Pike asked into the radio.

"Sir, we can assume her friends have told her where we're taking them. We shouldn't go further till the route's secure" Miller's boyfriend said. Pike looked around.

"put them in there. Let's go, move!" Pike said. They lifted us up and put us in a room.

Miller's boyfriend had knocked out the guards at the door and put us under the floor. Octavia helped us. I crawled out from under the floor and groaned. Octavia cut off the bindings.

"Nice to see you again," Octavia said. The radio went off. She talked to Harper.

"Let's go," Abby said. I followed her. They put us in a hole in the wall. I crawled in after Sinclair. I turned. Abby and my Dad kissed. I just stared.

"Go," my father said. I continued crawling through the wall.

"Wheres Lincon?" I asked my father as we got out on the other side. He handed me, Octavia. She was unconscious. I carried her bridal style.

"He's protecting his people," My father said. I sighed.

Octavia was up on the horse. We walked past Arkadia as they brought Lincon out. Octavia dropped down from the horse. I turned. She got up and walked toward Arkadia. I followed her. She stopped. Lincon was on his knees. Pike pulled out his gun. Lincon looked up at the sky. Pike pulled the trigger. A gunshot rang out.

"no" Octavia said. Lincoln's body fell into the muddy puddle below him. I put my hand on Octavia's shoulder. Her sad face turned to a stone-cold one. I watched as tears fell from her eyes.

"There was nothing we could have done, Octavia," I said. She turned around and walked past me shrugging off my hand. I sighed and looked at my father. He had a look of sorrow on his face. "Let's just get this over with," I said walking over to the group and lining back up.

Fallen 35.

We entered a cave. "Wheres Lincon?" Bellamy asked as we entered.

"Pike put a bullet in his brain," Octavia said.

"O... O, I am so sorry" Bellamy said. Octavia turned around and punched him. She hit him a couple more times.

"That's enough Octavia," My father said.

"Kane, stay out of this" Bellamy said. Octavia continued hitting him.

"Alright, that's enough," Miller said. I grabbed his shoulder. Bellamy had blood all over his face. Octavia screamed and hit him again.

"You're dead to me." She told him. She walked away from him. At least he knows why what he did was wrong now.

I was getting some water when I felt a presence. I turned. I sighed. "so you're contacting me when I'm awake now?" I said twisting the cap onto my water pack.

"You have grown since we last talked. Seeing your friend's reaction to their lover dying really took a toll on you." She said. I sighed.

"I think it took a toll on everyone. Lincon just wanted peace" I said turning and walking back to the cave.

"I told you. You made it out." She said following me.

"But at what cost?" I said.

"being in the Navy taught me to not dwell on those you have lost. To look forward to those you might save." She said. I sighed.

"how do I know I'm saving anyone?" I said kicking a rock.

"You don't-"

"Xania," My father said. I turned. It was him, Octavia, and Bellamy. "Who are you talking to?" He asked. I turned behind me. She faded away with the wind.

"no one" I said turning to him.

"Alright, we're going to get Monty. You're staying here" He said. I sighed then nodded.

There wasn't much to do. Octavia, Bellamy, and Monty returned not long after. "Where's my father?" I asked.

"He's going with them to talk to the new commander," Bellamy said. I sighed.

"I'm going for a walk," I said picking up my jacket. I threw it on.

I was walking when I saw something. I walked forward. It was a bow. Someone must have dropped their bow. I picked it up. There was a full pack of arrows as well. I scoffed. "Lucky me," I said.

"Bow's are good. I myself never got to use one. I like the trusty ol' pistol. But you get what you get I suppose" Charmaine said. I turned to her.

"I'm guessing you want me to take it?" I said. She nodded.

"I don't see your big blade anywhere," She said. I sighed. I threw the pack of arrows around my back and the bow as well.

"Time to learn a whole new set of skills," I said walking past her. She smiled.

"It's good to be that adaptable," She said.

"Yeah, I guess," I said.
