He had never been easily distracted before. It simply wasn't Jake to allow something disturbed his focus away from the exams such as today. If he had something important to pay attention to, then he would give it his all. It was why he have the reputation of a perfect student even from Dwight, why he could excel in sports and the musical instruments, and also being a teacher's assistant whenever an educational seminar is at hold.

Although, he still excell in his new school, but now he have to keep up by spending late nights with Sunghoon in their shared room. And if he was distracted, it was all because of you.

Following the day after he chased for you with Jay, his thoughts had continued to stray to you repeatedly.

Even now as he sat up in the benches outside the main building of the school after the first set of exams, he would find himself searching across the lines of classrooms or even to the numbers of restroom to see where you were up to, if you're safe from Yana's hate.

He was struggling to cope with the idea of you being hurted by that girl. As it was only natural for him to do so.

Part of him wanted to abandon Sunghoon when he saw you stepping out of the room alone, to cross the space between the two of you and just drag you away from sight in order to ask if you're fine. It wasn't like it would be strange for him to talk to you - he have been chasing for you long enough for everybody to guess what he was on about.

"Who are you even looking at, Jake?", EJ asked from beside him, drawing him out from his thoughts. He's one of his new friends in Seoul.

"Why are you even asking him that when it was so obvious?", Nicholas said, shaking his head and turning back to his phone. "Even Sunghoon stopped talking to me when that girl turned up"

At EJ's disbelieving loook, he added pointedly. "If you're so clueless, then you should've seen the whole school now knows they were all chasing for Kim Y/N"

"As in Daniel's older sister?"

"I love that boy", Jake admitted, and he couldn't help but peek one more look at you as you sat in one of the benches, sitting with Geonu and seemingly listening to what he was saying.

It was clearly too much for Sunghoon who rolled his eyes and pointed out to the two, "He's been stealing glances to Y/N since this break started", When Nicholas gives him an incredelous look for doing the same, he shook his head. "So what if I like looking at her face? She's not even Jake's"

"I don't think you have chances with her when she's with the perfect guy, Lee Heeseung", EJ commented absentmindedly, earning an offended look from both Jake and Sunghoon while Nicholas only laughed. "I mean, everybody knows that, isn't it?"
