For the next two hours, you went through each corner of the house to clean it and you tried to rearrange the sofa along the coffee and throw pillows while tolerating Daniel as a trash by always finding yourself shoving him out of the way every time he decided to chat up.

You looked out the window from time to time and then again after finishing some task. And when you still didn't see Jay, you returned to the kitchen, trying not to be disappointed and sat there alone with Dad repeatedly commenting on how you are getting sulky for no good reason.

Then at exact 3 pm, he instructed you to paint the rusting part of the front porch before he called Daniel to clean the house, as though you weren't the girl and the one who have a visitor at night. As you started it after picking up the brush and paint from the basement, it seemed that one of the boys was insistent on stripping you of any peace that you were struggling to find in your already hectic life.

There you are, simply trying to repaint one of the yellowing part in the railings outside, but even that, this particular boy couldn't let you even finish that small task. At the sound of knocking from the metal surface of the mailbox, you had set the paint brush aside before turning around to see the disturbance. Sure enough, there was Niki who had a bag slung around his shoulders.

Your hands fidgeted with the shirt you were wearing to protect yourself from the paint. It was oversized and an old one from Daniel's closet. The realization that you looked a bit messy had managed to hindered you in your movement. "What do you want Niki? Why are you here to the front of my house out of all places?"

"Don't even assume. One of my classmates leaves nearby, but I think I do want to talk", he said slowly, hands raised in surrender as if to prove how harmless he was. Only you knew otherwise, he was capable of a great deal of harm to you.

Especially since he still had that effect from you in the last time you were alone with him. But there was something in his voice, some hesitance that hadn't been there before that had you thinking twice for his sake. "What are you waiting for, Noona?"

"Come in then and I'll get you something to drink", you said as you stepped up the steps and moved to the side to let him in. "If you're tired, that is"

He hurried in, as if thinking you would change your mind and if you possesed any sense then you will do instantly. Coming after him, you watched as his eyes instantly scanned the whole living room and you didn't bother to watch him for long, not wanting to see his reaction at some of the picture frames. The biggest of which was probably the latest picture from the wall where Jungwon joins you, Daniel and your dad.

"We've gotten that last at my brother's birthday", you explained pointlessly, picking at some paint that had dried on your fingertips. "Stay there for a bit and I'll get you a juice from the kitchen"
